I had a Mexican Redleg Tarantula when I was younger. They're a real easy pet to keep. Cut off a small piece of sponge and soak it with water and that gives him his water. Feed him live cricket twice a week and you're good to go.

Never was bitten either, although a friend who had several said it was no worse than a bee sting.....Unless you were allergic!
