Permanant name for the black kitten.
It hasn't been so long that the kitten recognizes the name ive given him, not even two weeks. So I changed it to THE perfect name. It describes his character to a T. He's a loving cat but he's also a little beast. He pop's out of the blue. He's black furred. He's tenacious and stubborn, but caring. His new name is Collins after the vampire Barnabus Collins and the Collins family from the late 60's Gothic Soap Opera and recently released Tim Burton film, Dark Shadows. It's Perfect. No way im changing that name.

That's a great name for a cat, especialy a black cat. I take it you're a serious "Dark Shadows" fan. So am I. I use to race home from school every afternoon when it was on tv. The Tim Burton rendition was great, too. I also liked the 1991 revival series. I was especialy captivated by Joana Going's rendition of Victoria Winters.

Yes Pumpkin Man I am. And the great thing about timeless works of art is that the series aired from 66-72. And I just now am a new fan in 2012.

Nastalgiscape, I have some very fond memories of watching "Dark Shadows" when the original series aired. I was only a little kid at the time, so all though I would have never admitted back then, my main reason for watching "Dark Shadows" was because I had a crush on governess Victoria Winters. I got into all the supernatural scenarios later, and the real kicker is that "Dark Shadows" was my very first introduction to the world of haunted houses, vampires, wearwolvs, witches, ghosts and the like. I knew who and what Barnabas Collins was long before I ever even heard of Count Dracula. I saw Christopher Jennings transform into a wearwolf long before I ever heard the names Lawrence Tolbat or Lon Chaney. Dr Lang's monster, Adam was sending chills up my spine before I ever even knew that there was a Frankenstein story.
At any rate, one of my personal favorite memories of "Dark Shadows" was how most of my and my sisters friends would make a bee line over to our house because their parents didn't allow them to watch "Dark Shadows" in their own living rooms. When we got our first color tv, and we were among the first on the block to have one, it opened up a whold new magical "Dark Shadows" world.

Very nice. Even as yet not to the 30 episodes mark I am finding the slightest teases of the supernatural followed by the story of villain Dirk Devlin's return to be in and of itself addicting. Adding the supernatural in heavier layers later will be like wrapping the steak in bacon.
BTW, I once actually layered the top of a lasagna with bacon, LOL! It was good!
Looking as lil' Collins sleeps in a ball.

Nastalgiascape, "Dark Shadows" was originaly intended to be your regular, every day, run of the mill 'soap opera' like "The Edge of Night" and "General Hospital," but it was trailing in the ratings, so they added the supernatural element to it, making it the most original soap opera on tv, and it attracted over 20 million die hard fans on the head of that. Soap operas were typicaly made up on a day to day basis, so the story would continue into various tangients. Incidentaly, "Dark Shadows" encorporated two supernatural story lines into the program BEFORE the introduction of vampire Barnabas Collins.
