One of our new props we finished yesterday...The Snake Charmer
Image

oops forgot to put his shoes on...we also tied up the snake with fishing line, instead of the stick you see here

Wow. Is that animated?
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

Well that would be good I don't think I'm even talented enough to make something that looks half as good as your snake charmer so don't feel bad.

I'm really lacking this year. I haven't prepped at all. I have a new skull and a little rubber rat, but aside from that, nothin'.
My girlfriend and I are considering going as either Shirlock and Irene from the recent Shirlock Holmes movies, or Malcolm Reynolds and Inara from Firefly.

I havent done much either. I carved out and spray painted the front of a gravestone but not the back. I got a few decorations. Thats all.

What have you made your gravestones out of? We used styrofoam, carved with a dremel
and then painted.

I'm being Nostradamus. If you don't know who he is, he was a guy that supposedly predicted world events, who the Antichrist is and the end of the world. People used him to sell books in the years before 2000 and they're using him again now for 2012. And so I thought it would be appropiate for this year.

I read one of the interpretations of his predictions that the world was going to end on my birthday and I thought "Gee, he could have at least told me the time so I could plan my partying". LOL.
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

I also ordered a screaming skull a few days ago that just came in. I'll post a video soon.

I've yet to begin any sort of plans as I will be in the process of moving throughout September (I know, terrible timing). It'll probably be a light year, not in the sense that my new home won't be festive, but in terms of new, creative pieces. At the end of the day, however, I'm as happy as a lark with an illuminated jack o' lantern or two and a full moon flanked by wisps of fog. I'm sure I'll scrounge something together, although it will surely be last minute.
