I was invited to a BBQ but I'm gonna skip. Think I'm gonna putz around in the back yard, maybe go down to the harbor tonight to watch the sparkly lights.

San Diego. Guess I should hop on the trolley if I want to get there in time.

Happy 5th of July y'all! Good luck recovering from those hangovers.

Despite the heat, I actualy did get to blow off a few fireworks and I also got a ride on the motorcycle after the sun went down. It was really to hot, at least for me, to be outside for too long, but the 4th is still 2nd only to Halloween for being my favorite holiday.

By the way, I just bought a bag ful of 60 second orange smoke bombs which I plan to use on Halloween next October.

HA! HA! A computer glitch caused 3 of the 4 barges to go off early, all at once. The whole 20 minute fireworks display went off in like 9 seconds. A lot of people were very angry, especially people whole camped out all day to get a good spot. I thought it was awesome! Of course, a lot of people were making premature ignition jokes. I think they should try it again next weekend during Comic-con.

Great videos...

LOL Nevermore! That was a big OOPS! Well one thing the 4th means to me is that we're on the downhill slide to our favorite holiday now! WOO HOO!

Like I said, the 4th of July is 2nd only to Halloween for being my favorite holliday of the year. I do plan to celebrate it a little more intensely on Saturday, though, because the real 4th was on a wednesday and a work night.

I have about 6 ariel floral displays to light off.

went to the local park, got eaten by mosquitoes, listened to bad music on a horrible PA system, watched the local Police color guard walk by, listened to lousy bagpipe players and saw a local councilman sing the national anthem and then watched a low-budget fireworks show........and had fun doing it all!

We sat on the roof and watched a few displays around that we could see (all while drinking rum, of course) Not quite sure how we didn't fall off the roof..lol

I wish I had seen the San Diego show in person but the video is pretty good.

Can't believe some people got so mad. I figured I can see fireworks any ol time but how often do you get to see something like that? I hung around for twenty or so minutes to make sure nothing else was coming then walked to the Kansas City Barbeque, had a few beers, then hopped on the trolley back home. It wasn't till I got home that I found out exactly what happened.
