Smoke machine tip
Last Halloween I hunted high and low for a dry ice machine to add atmosphere to the party, but they were either extremely expensive or just not available. So I plumped somewhat grumpily for a standard smoke machine, thinking mist was almost as good.
However, I was in for a delightful Halloween surprise.
Living in a two storey house in a cool northern climate country, we had the party downstairs, and I put the smoke machine at the top of the stairs, with a couple of windows open, and candles all the way up the steps. What happened then was the cold air in the upper floor actually caused the smoke to roll down stairs like a waterfall, and disperse throughout the lower floor.
Awesome, especially since I had the eerie sound effects track blasting full volume up there too.

I had a couple of UV lamps and a disco ball (the multicoloured kind). Sadly I didn't think to take any photos of the waterfall effect, I only have pictures of the impressively or scantily clad guests.MacPhantom wrote:That sounds really cool, Traveller. Hey Spooky! Thanks for posting the vid link, and it looks very cool! So, are there any stores I can buy or order online? I'd like to check it out myself.

Absolute awesomeness. That's exactly what I was thinking of when I went shopping. Have you any DIY details?
