this is something i wrote about feeling like i'm growing old

Post by adrian » Sun Sep 06, 2009 4:34 pm

i just went through some pictures of my little bro and i trick or treating like 15 years ago and man, that was so long ago.. it inspired this writing about me growing older

stay calm, collected and quiet and quite honestly be patient
cause this causes some shakes and we are patiently patented and pointed right through
none of this will matter soon
I'll see how much you can take and how much you can shake off
none of that will matter soon
and before i got the chance to grow old i also learned that
good enough is as good as its gonna get
and as good as it gets you'll be done with it
So now i turned it off and onto something kind
my baptist knees
i used em up for and entirely good
and you thought i was clean..?
now here's the mood that moves me through
"none of that'll matter soon"
sister come take me out i'm nervous and its causing white in my breath
and before you forget
that none of this will matter soon
as good as it gets comes soon
help me keep my feet flat on the ground!

before i thought i could grow to, promote in time
to be inspired by the one i called permanent
a sort of ugly i called delicate
now thats something to dedicate!
i'll keep my funeral notes inside the verses i wrote before i dropped my tone
and fell off key
good enough is as good as its gonna get
none of this will matter soon!
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Deep writings indeed... good job Adrian.

se quedó encerrada
en una burbuja.
La bruja, la boba
con escoba y todo
con todo y escoba.

That was very nice.

Like I always say, none of this matters once you're 6-feet under so don't sweat the small stuff.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Well done, Adrian.
Very deep.

Very well done, but very sad. I am a lot older than you and it kinda hits home.
Thanks, Witchy

You're welcome.
I wish I had the talent for it. I've written a little, but I haven't tried this kind of writing.
