The start of my Werewolf story:

Lycan
By Ghoul of the Graves

The blood curdling howl echoed through the foggy woods.
The windows were fogged up and the moon shone brightly through the glass panes.
Rob looked up from his books. The howl had sent a chill down his spine. His glasses began to slip down the bridge of his nose. He gently pushed them up into place and continued to study.
History was Rob’s favorite subject. His essay was nearly done and he would stay up all night to complete it if he had to. He was getting tired however and he ran his fingers through his dark brown curly hair.
He rubbed his eyes and yawned. His blue eyes were reflecting the moonlight. The silver light shone through his thick glasses and onto his face.
Rob then sat upright. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end. He pushed himself away from his metal desk and he stood up. Rob walked over to his white bedroom door which was littered with video game posters and he pressed the side of his head against it.

He could hear noises from downstairs. He opened his bedroom door quietly so he would not alert his mother and father who were in their bedroom. His parents could be heard laughing at a comedian.
Rob rolled his eyes and snuck over to the stairs. He leant down and looked between the bars on the support rail. He could hear scratching in the kitchen. Rob looked back to his parent’s bedroom and began to creep downstairs.
As he crept down not a single stair creaked which was unusual. When Rob reached the bottom he looked over to the kitchen which was dark. Whoever was in there obviously had pretty good eyesight. Rob could see the light from the refrigerator glowing dully inside the kitchen.
Rob walked down the darkened hall quietly. His glasses were steamed up by his warm breath. He peered round the corner and saw a large dog in the fridge. It was raiding it. That is what it seemed like.
Rob noticed that the dog’s fur was matted and dirty. This dog was probably a stray. Rob wondered how this dog had gotten in, he then noticed the moonlight reflecting off of something on the floor. Glass.
The dog had been strong enough to smash the window; this must have been a strong dog Rob thought to himself. His blue eyes then widened and he began to quake with fear as the dog raised itself up onto two legs.

I'm finnishing it off now. :)

EDIT: A bit more:

Rob whimpered and began to back away slowly. The creature’s ears twitched as it heard Rob’s small cry. It whirled around and its yellow eyes glared at him. The creature opened its jaws wide and howled.
“Damn wolves.” Rob’s father said in his deep Irish voice. “Why did we buy a house near the woods? We can never get any damn sleep.” Rob’s mother rolled her eyes and patted her husband on the shoulder.
“Never mind, at least we don’t have those Bigfoots like America.” Rob’s mother said in her Irish accent.
Rob slammed his door shut and ran into his bed, sweating and shaking with fear. His sheets were soaked as soon as he leaped between them. His shaky hand pulled his glasses off of his sweaty face and he placed them on the bedside cabinet.
Rob’s parents ran into his room and he screamed. They screamed too. “What’s wrong Robby?” His mother asked.
Rob shook his head and began to tell them what he had seen. “I saw a wolf. It was in the kitchen and it got in through the window.” Rob wiped a tear from his eye. “It chased me but I didn’t see where it went.” He said clutching onto the duvet for dear life.
“You sure this happened, Robert?” His father asked. He never believed Rob about things like this.
Rob scowled at him. “Yes dad I’m not stupid.” He snapped.
Rob’s father scowled back. “Then I’ll go check.” With that he walked out of the room and down the stairs. He turned on the hallway light and looked out of the window. The clouds had covered the moon making the house completely dark.
Rob’s dad looked into the kitchen and noticed the two broken windows, and the spilt foods all over the floor. “Look at this mess.” He muttered to himself.
Rob hugged his mother and told her that the Wolf stood on two legs. “It was bipedal, and it walked oddly. Like nothing I have ever seen before.”
“It walked on two legs? Are you sure hon? Wolves can’t do that.” She said rubbing his back.
“Yes I’m sure mum. It was like some sort of monster.” Rob replied. He knew what he saw. “It wasn’t dark either; it was raiding the fridge so the light was on.”
Rob’s dad came back up and told them both to get back to sleep while he cleaned up the mess. They both agreed and went back to bed.

More, including a little twist :)

As Rob’s father cleaned up the mess he heard a soft growling from behind him. He looked over his shoulder and saw the wolf. “You are one big wolf.” He said, he was worried when he noticed it was on two legs not four.
“Hold up, you ain’t a regular wolf. You’re one of those Lycans! The ones I read about in me news paper!” Rob’s dad walked backwards and trod on the glass barefooted.
He cursed and edged up onto the kitchen counter as the Lycan approached.
The Lycan’s yellow eyes stared into Rob’s fathers. It opened its mouth and its tongue made contact with Rob’s dads face. The Lycan’s breath was terrible and it smelt of rotting flesh.
Rob’s father’s scream couldn’t be heard by anyone. Everyone was asleep. The Lycan jumped over the cowering man and out of the window. It ran into the woods. Rob’s father stood up shakily and he began to patch up the bite mark.
The first aid cupboard was always accessible. Anyone who needed it could reach it. Rob’s father grabbed the bandages and the disinfectants. His wound was now patched up and he continued to sweep up the glass off of the floor.

In the foggy woods the Lycan was throwing itself around. Its bones and muscles were shifting back to normal size and shape. The agony was intense and it couldn’t stand either transformation.
It looked up at the sky, realizing that the moon was still there but hidden by the dark grey clouds. Its eyes began to reshape themselves and they changed colour. Its skull began to shape itself normally and the brain began to turn back to human shape. The Lycan’s body shifted around awkwardly and the bones snapped back into place taking the muscles with them.
The Lycan’s body was now human shaped but extremely hairy. The hairs began to retract back into the skin which was rather painful and it stung as they re-entered.
On the floor in the woods was now a sweaty, naked female who had just experienced the pain of a transformation back into human form.

Last bit of the day:

The female began to cry and she managed to get up onto two legs. She walked through the woods and looked for a place to sleep. She was completely lost and alone. Her virus had made her an outcast, a freak of nature, a beast.
Eventually the female found a small underground area. She stumbled inside and looked around. The moss on the floor was soft and inviting. Still crying she sat on the moss, curled up into a ball and rocked back and forth. She was afraid.

He was running. His feet were aching and he was sweating uncontrollably yet he still ran. The man-wolf at his heels all the way, biting and snarling. He then slipped on the log as he leaped over it.
He came crashing to the ground and he saw the shadow of the man-wolf looming over him. He rolled over onto his back and he screamed as the jaws wrapped tightly around his neck.
It was now all black. He was stuck somewhere. He was stuck in total darkness. He could see the sky and he could feel the ground beneath his feet but he couldn’t tell where he was.
He seemed to have just awoken. He saw the clouds and the silvery light that shone behind them. He gazed at it. He was transfixed by the light. The clouds rolled away and the light shone down on him.
He felt pain, immense pain. It shot through his body like an electrical shock. His eye sockets changed shape and his eyes were bleached a yellow-gold. The front of his skull began to elongate and he screamed as it did so. His nose flattened and his teeth grew and became sharper and more carnivorous.
His ribcage began protrude outwards and the skin underneath it was stretched beyond belief. His leg muscles thickened along with his bones. He screamed in agony as his fingers elongated and his hands grew hard pads of skin.
The bottom of his spine began to stretch through his skin. Muscle tissue and flesh grew over the top almost instantly, creating a tail.
His foot bones stretched upwards and his calves increased in size to uphold the heavier upper body.
Hairs grew out of every pore in his body and his nose became wet and leathery. Ears grew out of the top of his head and his normal ears vanished inside his head.
His transformation was complete. He was now a Lycan.

There's still a little more to come and thanks. That is my aim. :D

EDIT: Here is a bit more but it's still not done-

Rob’s father let out a deep sigh and turned off the light switch for the night. His bandaged arm was hidden beneath his pajama top. He rounded the corner and began to walk up the stairs.
He was still shaken from the incident with the Lycan. He was bitten, “only God knows what happens next.” He said quietly to himself.
He slowly dragged himself into bed next to his wife and he kissed her on the cheek. She was asleep but he did so every night. He looked at the closed curtains and saw the bright light of the moon shining behind them. He shuddered and closed his eyes.

Rob awoke the next morning. His pajamas were on the floor. He didn’t remember sleeping naked. He didn’t remember getting muddy either. Rob sat on the edge of his bed and he looked at himself up and down in the mirror.
It was agony to do so. He gasped in pain and fell backwards onto his bed. He cried out again as his back made contact with a small amount of glass. He bolted upright and tried to pick the glass out of his skin.
Had something gotten in last night? Had the wolf come back for him? Rob then noticed the window. It was broken outwards. Something had broken out of here last night and seemingly taken Rob with it.
As Rob leaned over and out of the window he noticed something. A shred of his night clothes on the floor below. There was another piece on the tree next to his room. Rob was puzzled.
He then scratched his arm to relieve himself of an itch that was forming. As he did so he noticed that he had a curved triangle shaped cut on his arm. It hadn’t scabbed over so it must have been fresh.
Rob wondered. He then remembered the night before with the wolf chasing him all the way down the hallway. He realized that the wolf did manage to get a small nip at his arm as he was going up the stairs. He didn’t tell his parents before; it didn’t hurt so why worry his over cautious mum?
Rob ignored the small scratch and he staggered into the upstairs bathroom to have a quick shower. At least today was a Saturday. Now his friends couldn’t laugh at him and tell him how illogical it was for a wolf to stand on two legs.
Rob stepped out of the shower and the pain from earlier came back, even stronger this time. His muscles were aching, his bones felt out of place and on top of it all he felt exhausted.
Rob lazily grabbed a towel and began to wipe himself dry. His eyes tried to close. He wouldn’t allow them to but he wished they could. He still had his History essay to finish. He had to get it done over the weekend or his teacher wouldn’t be happy, his teacher was far scarier than any wolf but not scarier than the wolf Rob saw.
Once he was dry he tried to get back into his room quietly so his parents could rest some more but he tripped. He didn’t wake them up but he was in so much pain he had to crawl to his room.

Somewhere in the forest the young teenage girl awoke. She rubbed her eyes and knew not to move for the rest of the day. She had transformed two nights in a row now. Only tonight and the next night to go until the full moons were gone for a few weeks.

Her red hair shone in the sunlight. She just lied on the moss and hoped that nobody would go by and see her. She had lost all of her clothes when she transformed. They were shredded and her parents had no idea where she was, neither did she.
Only ten minutes had gone by but she was completely bored out of her mind. What was a naked teenager going to do in an underground dug-out like cave? She couldn’t do anything. She tried to move to go in deeper and see if there was anything to eat.
Although it pained her she managed to get deeper into the cave like system. There wasn’t anything to eat but there was a very old bottle of water half buried beneath the mud. She grabbed it and wiped the crusted mud off of it. She quickly unscrewed the lid and took a long drink.
She wiped the excess liquid off of her mouth and took the bottle with her as she curled up on another larger patch of moss. She closed her eyes and hugged the bottle close to her. It was the only solid piece of reality she had now.

Yep. Here's a lot more and it is still not done! Oh and thanks for the compliments, it means a lot to me. :)

Rob had now attempted to get down the stairs, he had to slide down on his backside because that seemed to be painless but there was a pain at the bottom of his spine. It was ten o’ clock in the morning but his parents were still sleeping. Rob decided that it would be best if he could investigate the area where the something had broken out of his window. Maybe he could find some clues. He liked the detective shows and other police themed programs.
Rob was feeling a little better but not much better. He could more or less walk without falling over now. When he reached the area where the glass had smashed onto the grass he examined it. There was a bit of dark burgundy fur scattered around. “The wolf was here.” Rob said to himself.
He then took a small piece of it and hopped onto his bicycle. He decided to ride into the town center. He was riding past the woods when he stopped. He saw something. It was another piece of fur, around ten centimeters in length, hanging from a tree blowing in the wind.
Rob took it and noticed even more tufts as he went deeper into the woods. As he got into the deep forest like parts of the wood the tufts were larger and more frequent. He followed them and came to a small underground like cave area.
Rob crawled into the cave; the walk had been a murder on his muscles. His bike had to be abandoned as the wood became increasingly thicker.
He looked around and saw what he could in the darkness. His eyes were adjusting to the dark conditions eventually. He could see a little better now but he wished he couldn’t. What he saw was a rotting corpse hidden in a corner. It was in a state of decomposition and it explained the terrible smell in the air. The corpse was male and it was in clothes still.
Rob gagged and continued to crawl through the tunnel. He saw bugs and arachnids lining the mossy walls. The mud was crusty and flakey beneath his knees and it peeled off on his trousers, he hated the dirt and mud but he wanted to find out what was inside this cave. He liked exploring but disliked mud, which was odd for an explorer.
Rob eventually came to a large open area in the cave. As his eyes scanned for anything unusual they were locked onto a female huddled in a ball in the corner of the cave. Rob couldn’t tell whether or not she was alive or dead due to the poor lighting but he could tell that she was completely naked.
Rob then realized that she was around his height and most probably seventeen like himself. From what he could see of her face she looked seventeen. Rob forced a cough to see if she would move.
The female began to stir; Rob was shocked and rather embarrassed as she sat up straight. He looked elsewhere and rubbed the back of his head as she gasped in embarrassment. She covered herself with her arms and screamed at Rob to get away.
Rob began to crawl away quickly and she noticed the fur poking out of his pocket, her eyesight was uncanny due to her being a Lycan. She called back to Rob. He sat dead in his tracks. “Yes?” He asked her with a stammer.
“Where did you find that fur?” She asked him in a firm voice.
“I uh, found it in the trees by the edge of the woods near my house.” He replied, still facing the other way.
“Just turn around and give it here.” She said, knowing that he couldn’t see nearly as well as she could.
Rob turned around and placed his arm over his glasses. He fumbled around in his pocket and grabbed the fur. He passed it to her chest at first and she moved back quickly. She snatched the fur and looked at it.
“You can look y’ know. It’s not like you can see anyway.” She said. She sniffed the fur and brushed her shoulder length red hair away from her face.
Rob stammered and tried to speak but he couldn’t. She laughed. “It is the first time isn’t it?” She laughed again.
Rob managed to mumble a yes.
“Trust me, a good looking guy like you will see more than just me before you die.” The girl laughed once more.
Rob hoped that she couldn’t see him blush. He had never had a girlfriend before and nor had he been complimented. He had never been more embarrassed in all his life.

A little more:

“I’m Carrie by the way.” The girl said.
“Robert, or just Rob. I prefer Rob.” He said in his quaky voice.
“Cool.” Carrie said. She looked at the fur and sighed.
“Why- why are you here?” Rob asked Carrie.
“I knew that would come up.” She said. “To be honest with you, you probably wouldn’t believe me anyway.”
“After what I saw last night I could believe anything.” Rob said, his confidence was gaining strength with each little word he said to her. He smiled.
“I saw that.” She said.
“Saw what?” Rob asked.
“That smile that just crept out onto your face.” Carrie replied.
“How on Earth did you see that?” Rob asked her.
“If I told you, like I said before, you would never believe me.
“Like I said before, I would believe anything after what I saw last night.” Rob said to her.
“You promise you won’t scream or run away?” Carrie asked. She looked at Rob directly in the eyes.
“I promise.” Rob said. He actually managed to maintain eye contact with a girl, unlike any other times before.
Carrie took a deep breath and as she spoke she rubbed the fur that Rob had found. “This fur is mine. I am what people call a Lycan. A Werewolf. A monster.” She sighed once more and waited for the scream.
Rob looked at her and then at the fur. “You were in my kitchen last night. You scraped my arm.” Rob said to her.
“I was. I know I was. I have the unfortunate memories of myself in the Lycan state. They are more like dreams or rather nightmares than memories, however.” Carrie replied. “Also, if I have bitten you then I have passed on the disease. You are a Lycan too. I’m sorry.” Carrie’s head dropped and she held back tears.
Rob then remembered the broken glass that was broken outwards and he remembered the brown fur he found near his house and the burgundy fur he found on the trees. “I thought that you had come back to kill me but you broke the window and fell out of it.” Rob then remembered the pains in his muscles.
“I have experienced terrible pain after I woke up this morning.” Rob said to Carrie.
Carrie sniffed and looked at him. “When you next revert back to human form it won’t hurt as much, your body will get used to it.” Carrie lied. It got worse each time, the bones and muscles began to heal and then they are stretched and moved all over again of course it would hurt way more.
Rob smiled and thanked Carrie for the information. “Why don’t you go home?” Rob asked her.
“If I knew where the hell I was I still wouldn’t.” Carrie replied.
“Why not?” Rob asked her.
“One, I am naked. Two, I would endanger my entire family if I went back.” Carrie informed Rob.
“So should I go back or not?” Rob asked.
“Your father saw me, at least I think it was your father, and he knew what I was. He knows of the Lycans. You’re better off leaving and letting your father assume I have killed you. If you cared about their safety at all you would take my advice.” Carrie warned Rob.
Rob wasn’t listening. He was transfixed with Carrie’s face. He could see a whole lot better now and he realized how beautiful she really was.
“Rob!” Carrie said loudly.
“Uh, what? Oh yeah. Wait, what?” Rob said. He was now worried about what she thought he was looking at.
“I’ll repeat what I said. Your father saw me last night and he knew what I was. He knows of the Lycans. You’re better off leaving and letting your father assume I have killed you. If you cared about their safety at all you would take my advice.” Carrie said once more to Rob.
“I guess you’re right but I have nothing at all.” Rob said to Carrie.
“Trust me, after you’re in Lycan form you’ll get your fill and you won’t need to eat. Also there’s a small lake not far from here so we can drink from there and there is no point in clothes, especially when you just tear them when you change anyway.” Carrie said to Rob. “The only problem with no clothes is that you have to be very careful when you’re walking around
in these woods.”

Re: Lycan

Post by Ghoul of the Graves » Thu Oct 09, 2008 4:51 pm

Triple post :? Oops. More to come soon!

Rob thought long and hard and he agreed. Not only would he be able to spend more time with Carrie but it would be better to stay away from his family if he was so much of a danger to them. “I guess there is no point in school either?” Rob asked Carrie.
“What do you think? You’re supposed to be dead yet you are in school. Does that make sense?” Carrie asked. She didn’t need an answer because she knew that Rob was clearly intelligent.

Night soon rolled into the sky. The sea of clouds rolled over the trees like they were grains of sand on a beach. The moon lurked in the sky like a large eye watching everything going on in Ireland.
Rob had fallen asleep even though it was only nine thirty. Carrie however was wide awake and still sitting on the moss bearing all. She envied Rob’s ability to sleep when he knew he was a monster. Maybe he didn’t see himself as a monster, maybe he wasn’t over the shock yet.
Carrie could see the moon in her mind. She could see the bright silver light. She could hear the wind whistling outside the cave. She could hear the darkness beckoning her, begging her to leave.
Rob suddenly awoke. He heard it too. His eyes glazed over, as did Carries. They both looked at each other and knew that they must fight the moon. “We have to resist.” She struggled to say.
“I can’t… it wants me.” Rob replied.
“It wants me too.” Carrie said. She struggled to fight the urge. So did Rob.
They then stood up and walked in unison out of the cave, as they did so they showed no emotion. They walked like zombies and looked like zombies too.
Carrie and Rob walked out of the cave and stood amongst the fog. They looked each other in the eyes and Carrie managed to speak through her dry lips. “I’m sorry.” She said. They stared at each other and then leaned in for a kiss. They kissed. The moon then began to work its curse.
Rob fell away from Carrie and he grabbed her hand tight. His palms went hard and formed wolf-like pads. Her hands did the same. Rob’s eyes rolled into the back of his head and when they rolled back they were yellow.
Carrie looked at Rob’s new eyes and she screamed in agony as her face began to stretch into a snout. Fine brown hairs began to sprout all over Rob’s body.
Carrie’s legs began to change shape and the bones began to stretch as her shins moved backwards and her ankles forward. Rob’s body began to mutate and the muscles in it pulsated as they stretched and grew into a new wolf like structure. His shoulders were higher and his neck was stretched. He screamed as the pain overwhelmed him.
Carrie’s body was changing also, her chest shrunk down to nothing but a fleshy rib cage and her back was growing in size. She groaned in pain. Her shoulders were moving upwards and, like Rob’s, her neck was stretching.
The bones and muscles in Rob’s arms were stretching and growing in width and length.
Carrie’s ears shrunk into her head and the new ears grew out from her skull.
Rob’s legs and feet changed shape like Carrie’s. His feet stretched upwards and his toes were extending. Carrie’s nails were growing in length to form claws and she began to growl rather than scream.
Rob’s face now began to form a snout and what started as a scream became a howl. Carrie growled as whisker like hairs grew from her chin and the side of her snout.
Rob grew whiskers too and his nose began to shrink and go a leathery black. Carrie’s tail began to grow. First the bones grew out of the skin and then the flesh and fur grew on top of that.
Rob grew a tail too, a longer one, and Carrie’s nose became dog-like. They then growled as their teeth grew sharper and more carnivorous. Their tongues became longer, wider and rougher.
Their transformation was complete. They both looked at each other and their eyes showed emotion for one another. Although the eyes were yellow and more wolf like they were still recognizable as Rob or Carrie’s eyes. They were both Lycans and they both howled at the moon together.
After the shock of transformation was over they looked at themselves and then into each other’s eyes. The new Rob approached Carrie and licked her gently on the face. She returned the lick and they looked around the area. Their killing instincts told them to go north, towards the busy town.
They walked through the fog together, two Werewolves with a strong bond. They were the only two of their kind that they knew of and therefore they had to stick together if they were to breed and produce more Lycans.
Rob and Carrie were now rather heavy and left deep footprints in the damp soil. This didn’t matter to their crazed minds. They wanted food but they needed to drink first. Carrie knew where the lake was. She led Rob to the lake and they both crouched down onto all fours and they drank from the lake with their wide, rough tongues. The water tasted nice and it vanquished the thirst.
Rob’s ears twitched as he heard a stick crack in the distance. Carrie stood up and saw two humans walking through the woods far away. They were holding a flash light and they were calling for Rob.
Rob remembered what Carrie had said before but his animal like mind wanted to eat. It wanted to feed. Luckily, Carrie had more control due to this not being her first real transformation. She growled at Rob and pushed him in the opposite direction.
Rob eventually got the message and he started to run on all fours. Carrie joined him. When they were sure that they were far away enough they headed towards the town.
