How about living in the country?
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

Sweet! Hadn't heard about the Escape San Diego event. We're heading downtown next weekend anyway, I'm gonna talk my friends into joining in on the fun. I wouldn't mind getting one of those limited edition comics either. Between this and the 'Run for Your Lives' next October I should be well prepared for the zombie invasion. Good thing too! The virus is spreading...

Beware of zombie blood. It goes bad if you don't drink it right away.

Mmmm... tainted zombie blood. Yum!

I found video of some guy doing the 'Walking Dead Escape San Diego' experience. I like that he stayed in character throughout the whole thing, like the zombie attack was really happening.

I'm pretty glad that I didn't spend the $75 to do it last night. Looks sort of lame. Probably would be pretty cool for out-of-towners who could see the park and views of the city. And get a lot of exercise.

I do really want the comic though, for which people are currently asking anywhere from $40 to $90 on eBay, so I may go there tonight and ask people who don't want theirs if they'll sell it to me for $10 or so.

Here's the video...

Meh... I should have done the zombie escape on Friday. It was too crowded yesterday and guys were going around offering people $50 for their comic book. Just because it shows Petco Park on the cover? I wasn't willing to invest that much unless I did the run also.

Here's a picture of my niece before we headed on down to the walk. I just saw her on Headline News. She was in the crowd when they showed pics of the walkers.

A couple of my favorite walkers... that I got a picture of...

These guys did a Wizard of OZ theme. See the scarecrow eating Dorothy's leg? Unfortunately, they were also drinking and were chased down by the police. Don't know if they were caught. No drinking allowed during the zombie walk.

This guy had to be seriously uncomfortable. He also sort of breaks the rule of no masks allowed during the walk so I may continue my plan of doing a headless zombie for next year.

Awww... my niece didn't make it into the official FEARnet video. I told her she needed to act up and get attention instead of standing there and gawking at the other zombies.

This is excellent!

It's part of a campaign to protest Dish Networks decision to drop popular channels, including AMC. Zombies roam the streets of New York, acting like everyday people. What's really interesting is watching other people's reactions to them.

They don't have to dress up in NY. They are mindless zombies to begin with. Its not like there aren't real issues to be concerned with. There are ways to watch shows without having cable or satellite. I am able to watch any show from Starz or any other premium channel and I don't subscribe to any of them. And no, I don't have any illegal equipment. Don't even try asking me how, I won't tell. I know lots of people that have dropped cable and watch everything on Hulu Plus or Netflix.

Besides, most likely both sides will come to terms eventually. They usually do.

Torrents? You know... downloaders can be tracked now. If you're behind a proxy you don't have to worry so much.

My roommate watches all her shows online. I really don't watch TV so I don't bother looking for shows. I will get the DVDs from Netflix and rip them to my iDevices though. I just read this morning that Apple TV may be poised to become the hub of online viewing.
