I am decorating my bathroom this year for the first time. I am putting a sign on the door that says. "BAT ROOM". And what else, but doing bats inside. Using black plactic to cut a border for around the top where wall meet's ceiling. Then black curtains and a few bat hang here or there. Thats about all I have come up with so far.
But it's a start.. How is your's going?

A simple black light works wonders in a bathroom.
You can draw ghosts or shapes with black light paints in a shade that is similat to your wall color and even if they aren't completely hidden they will certainly 'pop' when te lamp is turned on.
You never know which soaps or lotions glows in black light!
...and no clean up either.

Giant glow in the Dark spiderwebs + blacklight in the bathroom. I did that one year. Of course, I did the web around the door, shower, toilet and sink-- most of it was near the ceiling and down the wall. It looked pretty cool. It was almost like walking into a spider's "lair" (if spiders had lairs). Creatures around the mirror are also fun... might be fun to put up a scary poster on the wall behind the mirror as well-- so people looking in the mirror see "someone/thing" behind them.

Welcome Ice Witch!!

if you have a bath in ur bathroom, put a dead body in there. i place a white sheet in the bath with some old towels underneath to make it look like a body under the sheet, then add some old boots at one end and i also use an old wig slightly poking out the other end for hair. simple and costs nothing

This is going to sound TERRIBLE since I'm a Mama. This could be poor taste, but whatever, I still do it. I kill a babydoll in the bathtub, put a huge knife on the counter with blood on it and some bloody gloves. Splash blood everywhere. Put the babydoll's head in a jar on the counter and the bloody body in the tub. I thought of it one year when my budget was next to nothing. Babydolls are cheap. I also disasemble a talking childrens toy and wire it to the door so when people go in and close the door it says disturbing things like "you're my special friend" and "I love you." I guess there's a chance that it would offend someone, but people that get offended easily couldn't handle being my friend anyway!!

You can allways get a large can of tomato sauce or red food dye, put it in the fluch box, and when your guests go into the bathroom to do their business and they fluch the toilet, the water is red like blood.
I did that to my older brother at his houre, once. I got 5 little bottles of red food coloring, and poured it into the flush box before I left his house that night, and when he flushed the can after I left, he freaked out.

I'm thinking of getting red food colouring putting it in the bath and then getting a bag of bones and putting them in so it looks like a blood bath
I already have my halloween shower curtain

Hi Scorpio40, The first theme I was thinking of is just what WannaBeWitchy mentioned " The Bat Room". You could make a sign that says The Bat Room and paint it black. On the counters you could lay some little bats, hang some from the ceiling, use either a black shower curtain or drap some black netting into like a swag affect in front of the curtain you already use. Drap some black netting from the celing. If you can find some bat window clings try getting them to stick to your floor some how.
Another theme could be the Witch's Powder Room. Potion bottles on whatever shelves you have, or the counter, if you have or can get one of the lighted fogging or misting cauldrons, that would be awesome, maybe set it on your vanity counter. You could hang some moss or green netting, or whatever colour of netting you can get from the celing and go to any flower shop, or crafty store and find some dried flower arrangments to hang from the ceiling, any kind of witch orniments would add an awesome flar to the room. A Witches spell book, and black featherd crow, a Pentacle would really be a wicked touch.
Well hope that offers a few suggestions, good luck, I'm sure it will all work out great.

I thought the same thing, until I tried this one year.Andybev01 wrote:A simple black light works wonders in a bathroom.

As cool as it was at first to have the blacklight in the loo, (we put 2 four footers in the normal fixture) we soon discovered that with the addition of many guests using that room, (combined with adult beverages) it turned into what I could only equate to as something that looked like a crime scene from CSI.
One side effect (bad) of black-light is that you will see EVERYTHING that you might not want to see, or even know is there otherwise. Last year we put 8 four foot UV bulbs in our kitchen for a hot summer night party, and let's just say that we thought our kitchen was clean and it resulted in an emergency scrubbing session! Every spatter, every crumb, every dribble that was not visible normally, became a glow-in-the-dark glob screaming to be wiped up. It was truly scary, and not in a good way.
If you really want to get a room sparkling clean, just turn off all the normal lights, and walk around it with a small blacklight on an extension cord, and you will be horribly surprised at what you see.
