Easy props
Hey I was wondering if anybody had any good ideas or tutorials for some scary props. Just to let you know I have no electrical skills and have a tight budget. Thanks in advance for any help!

Well I'm just looking for any props you know of or if you can point me in any direction. I don't really have anything in mind. I'm kinda looking for a jumping off point.
The age group is mid-teens and it's a yard/driveway display.

Well - I am going to guess that you have basically nothing to start with - but, to avoid wasting money - you really need to decide what kind of theme you are looking for - with teens - you may want to be more gore than traditional scare, teens are weird like that (I have 4 kids of my own - I am allowed to say things like that 
)...
You can actually do a lot even on a tight budget - you just have to be willing to put in the time and let your imagination run wild...
I would start with the basics - skeletons the plastic Bucky's are very inexpensive.
Go to Michaels and they have neat little light effects that you can put up on trees and some of them actually have music with them. Go to Michaels.com - sign up for their newsletter - they send you coupons in your email - same with A C Moore...
If you need a head - go to your local Sally's beauty supply - you can get a wig form for a couple of dollars (I spent less than 5) painted it green - cut out the eye holes - popped in some fake eyes - attached it to a T-Form - added some clothes , a hat that had hair attached to it- I had my first witch.

something i've done for years now with my mother (and its free sort of) is that we have, over time, made paper mache( <-- spelling ) masks.. we have a tree in our yard that we hang (we have approx. 50 masks now) them from.. it looks really spooky
we take balloons, blow em up, tie em, and the move on to making the glue
to make the pasty glue we use a mixture of water, flour, and elmers glue
we shred up news paper of course and start pasting the shreds to the balloons.
once dry pop the balloon and the paper mache shape should still be there.
cut the mask shape you want and paint it to your desire.
then attach fishing line or twine to the top and hang them from anything (trees, walls, fence, ect. )
our masks are really creepy and each one kind of has its own story.. plus its a good way to meet neighbors as they ALWAYS stop to talk about the masks and ask to see the new ones!!

If you want easy, check out the Halloween projectors. They setup in minutes and can display images all over your house. Pretty cheap too, about $40. Click on my link below for a great site to buy them at.
