Uncola soft drinks
I like 7-UP, and Sprite is okay. What about you?

That's really pretty much it. I did use tolike the Canfields brand soft drinds that came in Orange, Grape or Cherry flavor, but I haven't seen Canfields since I was a freshman in high school.
But as I said before, I very seldomly drink any carbonated beverage any more. It makes my stomach act wierd.

Re: Uncola soft drinks
Back in the 70s, Canfields was a very popular soft drink, at least in the Chicago area. They had Grape, Orange and Cherry soda pop, and Root Beer, as far as I can remember. It tasted pretty good, too, and for a few years was the only soda pop I drank. I don't know what happened, or if it can still be bought in other parts of the country, but I haven't seen a can of Canfields since before we moved to arm pit New Lenox.
Perhaps some of you other forum haunters from the Windy City might remember the tv comercial for Canfields soft drinks. The cartoon character, Mr. Magoo was the spoksperson. He would end the comercial with "Store keeper! Canfields for everyone!"

So, they didn't make them anymore at all? If so, then how come?

Re: Uncola soft drinks
I don't know if they stopped making Canfields or not. All I know is that I cant' find it in any of the grocery stores any more so I'm assuming that it's either out of business, or they jus tdon't sell in the mid West any more. Canfields really was not the soft drink of choice for a lot of people. I was "wierd" because I liked it, but most of my friends prefered Coke or Pepsi.
There also use to be Like cola, which was the worst thing I ever tasted in my life, in the way of a soft drink. They went out of business for obvious reasons.

Re: Uncola soft drinks
I never heard of Canfield's, but I did just Google it. They are still in business, at least on line, and they specialize in diet drinks sweetened with aspartame. They describe themselves as "a Midwestern classic."
I have never been very fond of any type of soda. When I do drink one, I generally choose something non-caffienated (sp?), since I drink a lot of coffee. I often choose Sprite, 7-Up, or ginger ale. If I am going for a cola drink, nothing but Coke for me. (In fact, in my part of the country, we use "Coke" as a synonym for soda. If you ask for a Coke, people will routinely ask, "What kind?" I do that myself without thinking.)

Re: Uncola soft drinks
I prefer 7-Up. Still, I do like Coke. I decided not to choose Sprite anymore because it doesn't taste just like 7-Up.
Of course, I like either Seagram's or Canda Dry ginger ale.
So, anyway.... do you guys like club soda? What do you add with that?

I'm not overly fond of club soda, but my husband likes it.
I haven't had a mixed drink in many years, don't even remember what I used to put with it! LOL
