I wanted to share something.......kind of long and personal

....okay, as some of you know I had to have a surgery on my right ear, actually IN my right ear....well, for most of you thats all you know......I only told one person on this forum what was going on, witchy, (thanks for the kind words btw), anyway, I figured I would let the rest of you know....
I had a tumor in my right ear canal, the Dr thought it was just a growth no big deal and just wanted to remove it, so he did (surgery #1). As that was healing and I was feeling pretty good I got a call from the Dr, the biopsy came back positive for skin cancer. Now, skin cancer usually isnt a big deal, nothing like regular cancer but it can be and I was worried. The Dr told me that of the three different kinds of skin cancer the one I had was the least aggressive, great news but, the biopsy showed there was cancer cells all the way down into the ear canal wall tissue. So guess what, surgery #2......this time he dug a big hole in my ear canal and removed some cartilage as well requiring a skin graph. So now I have a scar in my ear and a 5" long scar on my neck/shoulder where he removed the skin for the graph (I'm my own Frankenstein prop now).
Yesterday the Dr called and said the biopsy on the second samples were in and guess what??? All the cancer cells were removed!!!
He says theres little to no chance the tumor will grow back but of course we have to keep an eye on it.
Anyway, I just thought I'd share that with ya'll. I dont usually go into details about my health on forums but since I was whining about my ear on here I figured ya deserved to know why.
Also, my back is just about back to normal, that was a pinched sciatic nerve for those of you who care....But it did imobileize me to the point I couldnt move......
Anyway...........
