From what I understand, bed bugs can be a miserable thing to have around. I don't have that problem, but I have been "pinched" by an earwig or two in my bed on a couple of ocassions.

Ugh. That is not good news. I've never had them, but I've heard lots about them-- specifically how easy you can get them and how terribly difficult it is to get rid of them. I've read that you have to vacuum every page of every book you own, wash every article of clothing, etc... and that's just to prep your house BEFORE the exterminator comes over. What a nightmare.

Oh great. That sounds like fun. I hope I never get this.

Any time you have an infestation there's all kinds of preperation and work you have to do, and it often has to be do ne over and over again. Pests are very frustrating to have around.

My first apartment had a MAJOR problem with mice. I had traps all over the place and they were allways going off. I had to keep all my food sealed in plastic containers, and every month I had to wash my walls down and go through every drawer and closet shelf. The mouse droppings were everywhere. I was constantly having to sterolize my silverwear and disher. I finaly ended up keeping every thing in a sealed trunk so the mice couldn't get in. And MANY were the times I was skampered on by mice when I was in bed half asleep.

Finaly the land lord hired an exterminator, his cousen, who did a lousy job and didn't rid us of the mice. In fact, I started finding these garden snakes in my kitchen, and it was at that point I started looking for a new apartment.

The best way I know of to fix a mouse problem is to get a cat... if the landlord objects and his place is mouse-infested... then I'd be leavin'.

I've never had a mouse problem... but I have had termites and roaches. Ugh. What a pain!

I own my house now. I'm the landlord, so if I want a cat, I can get one. I just don't have the time to take care of him, or the money to pay the vet bills and the like. Maybe after I retire.

I don't have any problems with pests at my house now. That was my first apartment, and I left there as happy as though I were let out of prison.

Wasps are the bug of choice at home.

They make their way inside through the bathroom exhaust-fan housing.

Nothing wakes you up faster than stepping into the shower and having to deal with a wasp, I tell you what.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Years ago, my older brothers and sisters were playing in the woods up at some property we had in Minisota. They were playing in the woods, and one of them stepped on a hollow log, and smashed a wast's nest.

They were stung so many times it was not funny.
