I has a lappy!

Post by DemonSlayerMau » Fri Apr 10, 2009 10:30 pm

I finally got my first lap top today! WOO! I'm really happy with it too.
As I predicted, the lap top came with Windows Vista. I am still getting used to it, it's a bit different than XP but I don't think it's that bad. A little slower though, but that's because it has more bells and whistles.
I've always wanted a lap top, now I can take my desk top and put it into storage to free up room in my room. It will probably stay in storage until I move out.
The lap top is a compaq, and it was roughly $440.00 at best buy. It came with an AMD Athlon duel core processor, Nvidia graphics card, wifi capabilities, a DVD RW drive, and well y'know some bells and whistles. I love the clarity of the new screen. Plus it's portable and conveniant. It'll come in handy for my school work.
I don't know what I'll do if photoshop won't work, guess I'll have to find another art program. Haha.
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

Congratulations! Now I wish I had a laptop.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

Uh-oh; you'll be lost for days now :)
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Awesome my friend. Have a ball.
The dark night beckons. Bear us your soul, it whispers. Expose your wicked delights. Join the rest of us on the wind. The dark night beckons and we answer. Sailing into the shadows.

Thanks guys. I've been wanting one of these for years, and I'm really enjoying it. It's real handy too.

It's funny, but I sort of filled my "Easter Basket" last Saturday, too. I decided to go out and buy myself a vaccum tube dac unit. It's a Music Hall dac 2.5, and it delivers the most awesome sound I ever heard from a CD. It has digitral inputs for coax. usb or optical, so I can hook up my computer, DVD player and CD Player.

I just finished listening to a HDCD on it, and I'm just totaly wowed by the quality.

I was never a huge Mac fan, personaly. There are times I wish I had a lap top, because then I could surf the web during a power outage.
