Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

Country music? Not the old kind where the singer wails like he just dropped a 100 pound brick on his foot. I mean the more modern country. Everyone else my age likes rock, (I do not mind some rock. But I am not into heavy metal.) hip hop or rap. I do not like them much. I like modern country music. Am I weird?

If liking country music makes you weird then most of America is weird...wait a second...

No. You are not weird. I like country music too. I especially love "Redneck Woman". Trust me, you are not alone.

I seem to be differant from most teens in a bunch of ways. I always feel weird.

I have never met anyone who exclaimed "Gosh my teen years were the best years ever!"
I'm pretty sure that the 'normal' teenage experience is to feel out of place.

Well if you grew up where I grew up everyone LOVED country...and I was the one who hated it. They also liked rap and 60s music...which I also hated.
But then again most people did like Heavy Metal and Alternative which I did get into...but very few people liked Video game music and I'm one of those oddballs that does.
I think it just depends on where you're from, where you live, etc. etc.
I can't imagine you liking country though, dead man. At least not from that menacing skeleton you've got in your avatar ^^; Unless you found some way to make it all scary and eerily. o.o

I actually like country AND bluegrass.

Maybe it's because I live in the Damn Near Kentucky Zone.

OK, my avatar has nothing to do with my taste in music.

I like alternative, but there's some country music that I like. My boyfriend listens to it, so I hear it too. I think if you like country then you should listen to it. Do what you want, not what other people think is the norm.

I enjoy the slow country ballads that really touch the heart strings. But I have to listen in moderation or I get the blues.
