Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

I have heard alot of people saying the world "will end" in 2012. I personaly DO NOT beieve such things. They ALSO said the world will end in 2000. Well it's 2008 AND we are STILL HERE. So, I though I'd post this and see what you all think. So go on and post!

Only God knows when the world will end.

The 2012 thing is getting talked about a lot. More specifically December 21, 2012. It's when the Mayan calendar ends.

I personally don't put much thought into the doomsday stuff. There's just been way too many predicted, and of course none have come true. I lump this date into that category. I agree, no one knows when it's all gonna end.

However, some theories are saying 12/21/12 won't be the end of the world, but the beginning of a new phase. A new consciousness, the date that aliens will make themselves completely known, the beginning of world peace, the return of the Sumerian gods...I can go on and on.

I doubt it'll be any different from any other day, except that there IS supposed to be some unique astronomical alignment on that date.

Basically something funky may happen, because the astrological alignment scheduled to happen, but other than that nothing special..I hope.

From what I've heard, there's gonna be a polar shift. I don't believe in End of Days theory. Halloween_Girl stated, 2000 was saposse to be the day humanity died. Psychic's around the world claimed they all saw the same vision of Earth becoming one big fireball. It gained a lot of hype and look what happened... nothing.

What makes 2000 any different then 2012?

Tell her that there's a reason why this Doomsday theory is only talked about on the INTERNET and NOT IN REALITY. If you do some research, it clearly points out the Mayans claim 2012 to be a dawning age. Which is really nothing more then a change in the weather. People can believe in this Doomsday theory all they want, however, they are going to feel really stupid when the day passes and humanity is still here.

Maybe it will be the day after. This is not only on the internet. I have read it in Christian magazine. You know what I am scared of more then the en of the world?
