Is your baby's procedure risky? I hope all goes well. Thinking of you!

Hey Cadaverino, well I think any procedure has potential risks especally when anesthetic is involved, but he's otherwise healthy and only 2.5 years old. They don't know whats wrong. At first they suspected just an ear infection for some unknown reason so he was put on antibiotics, and each time the meds would clear it up but it would return within a couple of weeks. Then he started having other symptoms that are characterisitc of food allergies, so then they thought maybe the ear thing was connected to that so he was put onto a special diet for allergies, then he had blood in his ear. BUt to make a long story short, this has been going on since last year, and before all this started he came down with cat flu 3 days after I adopted him and brought him home, this was when he was 9 weeks old and he's now 2.5 So it's been vet visits every 3 weeks since he was 9 weeks old. And he just finished a double round of meds for the ear and it didn't clear it up at all this time, so now he's being sent to a specalist "the one who is to do the procedure" as my regular vet doesn't have the equipment or training to do it, so she's refered us to a vet who does, the closet one being in the next town. I jut want him well, he's such a sweetheart, so gentle and loving, I can't stand to know he's not well. I just want him better, I really don't handle any of my babies to not be 100% healthy. All my babies are indoors only always have been which makes this even more frustrating, not to mention all the money we've spent so far with no positive results, and now this procedure is costing $700 well thats just the quote and the specialist doesn't take payments so I had to come up with all the funds all at once. I just hope they find out whats wrong and can fix it.
BUt it's almost 3pm and still no call that their equipment arrived, I'm just praying that it does show up today and that the procedure will be a go ahead as planned for the second time, cross your fingers for me would you, or a little prayer, many thanks :D

I sure hope all goes well, DOD! Kee kee's can be pretty resilient. Believe me (and you remember), I know what it's like to see your babies go through stuff. They're not very good at letting you know what's up.
And I know that you are a strong and wonderful girl. You'll get through all of this.

It's just been a bad year for a lot of us!
It's time for a group hug!

Dutchess of Darkness, are you talking about cats? I thought you were talking about a human baby, your child.

Cadaverino, Yes " my children, 3 in fact " are Feline, but no less my children, just the same as a human child in my eyes, in no way any less or any different, perhaps that is why you had a difficult time translating because I feel they are just as human as any human I know, therefore when I talk about my children it may come as a surprise to some that they are of a different species. It's my youngest that is waiting for his procedure

Well today reached an all new level of crazy, haven't even been able to get to bed, woke up 5:30am Thursday Morning and haven't been able to make it back to bed, freakin insane! Long long story, but 1 of my babys heading for major surgery now, I got drove my girlfiend to the ER at 12 pm last night, was there all night up until it was time to come home and get hubby up and packed and off back to camp, back to the hosptail, girlfriend has now had her emergency surgery and is in recovery, another friend just had a minor heart attack this morning, and the story goes on.

So Halloween is looking pretty grim now, my mojo and sanity are gone now anyways,ug!

Have to try and get some sleep this are going to keep being crazy for the next few weeks.
