Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Eh, I'm not all that interested in debate. Just stating my opinion. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and far as I'm concerned debating an issue like that only leads to people getting defensive and upset.thats the whole debate in a nutshell........
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

Or, to put it another way, "Vee believe in NUSSINK, Lebowski!!!"witchy wrote:I think this is what he is referring to:
Nihilism (from the Latin nihil, nothing) is the philosophical doctrine suggesting the negation of one or more aspects of life.
I'm not actually a nihilist. It just gave me a nice setup for a nifty one-liner.

Debate doesn't have to be contentious, as long as nobody takes things personally. We probably have beliefs that we don't agree on, but in the course of discussion, why should I get upset or offended if you believe something that I don't? I don't take it personally. I love discussion and debate, because I usually end up learning something I didn't know before, even if it's just a bit of insight on a different perspective.DemonSlayerMau wrote:Eh, I'm not all that interested in debate. Let's just say I've had bad experiances with debates, and find it easier to just agree to disagree.

any difference in opinion IS debate, but with something like this there is no proven right or wrong, just point of view........but many many many hours are spent trying to convince people.DemonSlayerMau wrote:Eh, I'm not all that interested in debate. Or, to put it another way, everything you read that's written in this color is wrong, and anything you read that has a picture of a cool looking fella in shades and a very macho kilt just to the left of it is right.Spookymufu wrote: any difference in opinion IS debate, but with something like this there is no proven right or wrong, just point of view......

Fruits are an excellent source of dietary fiber, necessary vitamins and minerals, and energy-providing natural sugars. Maybe if you Texans ate less hamburgers and more apples, you wouldn't keep making so many mistakes *cough**cough**Cornyn!**cough**cough**Perry!**cough*cough*
