Re: Winter Doldrums
Sherrod Brown! Woo Hoo!
Mike, you reminded me of when I was in Kindergarten and we glued cotton balls to paper plates to make March "lions and lambs"...!! We have the same saying here, but it's definitely "in like a lion and out like a lamb". The wind is roaring outside the window right now, in fact, but I don't care, cause only
THREE MORE DAYS TILL SPRING!!!!

Sounds like a fun memory. We did things way back when I was in Kindergarten, too. We would make pumpkins using orange construction paper.
But at any rate, I am hoping that March will be better then February was in terms of the weather. It's going to be a banner month for photo shoots, and I might even be going on one of my 'haunted road trips,' if the weather is warm enough.

Still sux here in TN. We had arctic winds and temps here all week, but the snow passed us by. Today the sun is shining, but is just a lie! One step outside and the wind cuts you in two and the cold goes to the bone.
16 years ago we had a blizzard March 9th or so. We had around 2ft. of snow! Crazy for here.
I am with you MacPhantom, I am thinking spring! March 1st is Monday and I am having warm thoughts!. The yellow forsythia and daffodils should be blooming soon. They are usually sprouting around St. Pat's day. The dogwoods soon after that.

Dogwood is my favorite flowering tree, followed by apple and plum blossoms.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I like the weather right now as it is, I love Winter, I'm not too happy about Spring coming because that means in May it will be getting up to the 90 degree mark and I hate the extreme heat here! Come August, I will be living in the swimming pool!

I would, but I forgot my swim trunks, and I make it a rule never to go skinny dipping with married women....
