I'm not even afraid of 'things that go bump in the night' any more. I live i n a 100 year old house. It makes all kinds of noises and there are all sorts of bumps, creeks, groans, in the night I almost don't even hear them any more. I get most of those noises when the weather is windy.

I am, for sure. As most people say, I am afraid of what's in the dark, not the darkness itself.

Oh, and, perfect time for a song.

For instance, if I see an old house with nobody lives there and no lights at all during the nite, I dare not to go inside the house unless one of the persons must be with me with flashlights, also must carry wooden bats.

Even, during the daylight outside, if I go inside darker places and I have to be with someone period!
I'm not as scared of the dark anymore but I used to be terrifyed. I only get scared now if theres someone with me that I know for a fact will attempt at scaring me haha

The power went out about a week ago and my boyfriend grabbed me when I walked around the corner. I got so scared a screamed and punched him in the rib cage...needless to say he won't be doing that again

I actualy enjoy the dark any more. The only time I can actualy remember being afraid of the dark was when I was about 5 years old.

It is not the dark that will hurt you...It is what is hiding there that will.

unless you're clumsy lol
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I got more then my share of bumps and bruises from bumbling around in the dark, but that's the extent of any problems I have with the dark.

Oh yeah??? I ended up with 3 kids!!! I am terrified of the dark! LOL!!!
No, seriously. I always imagine there is some nasty ghost. Has anyone ever seen 13 Ghosts? There were some pretty nasty ones in that movie.
I picture that nasty little mom and her HUGE baby. Creepy.

Okay clumsy? I belong to a fire department right? And I sleep with absolutly no light in my room...Try being in the most soundest sleep then hearing "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEPP!!!!!" and waking up in a massive start and bolting to get dressed with a huge adrenilon rush....

My bedroom is spotless yet it never fails that I ended up tripping over something, crashing into my dresser, knocking over something which smashes, and before you know it the entire house is awake thinking that a bomb is going off in my room...I once went to a fire call with a black eye from running into my door

So no matter what, the dark and what's in the dark can both hurt you equally bad :P

I have the same problem after I do some of my Paranormal Researching or while I'm babysitting my 11 year old cousin who is a terrifying little boy and it also doesn't help that I have an extremely over-active imagination :P

I'll have to echo some of the comments made here:
Not afraid of the dark, only afraid of stubbing my toes or running into something lol.

This old house is full of creaks and moans and groans from the hardwood floors. It really gets going on windy nights.

Hmm..I think that's the wind??!! 8)
