Both of those recipes sound pretty good, if a bit self-evident.

I know that traditional tomato gravy takes hours of cooking, but sometimes pasta tossed with olive oil, fresh tomatoes and basil can be really good.

Some people do that to add olive oil, fresh diced tomatoes, basil, and apple cider vinegar.
