Well I grew up centered around the more protestant beliefs, more specifically the pentecostals, and my grandmother that I live with, I don't know if I can really consider her pentecostal, I just consider her Christian, but anyway, SHE believes an animal just ceases to exist when they die. For example, when a bunch of geese got hit by an air plane that resulted in their deaths, well none of the people died though the geese turned into hamburger from the engine, she said "Well it's ok they don't feel anything now they no longer exist." It kind of makes me mad because I love my cats, and I certainly don't want a heaven without them!
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,

A lot of Christian demonations do not believe that animals have souls, and it's been debated among Catholics for a long time. The Catholic Church, as far as I khow, has no official position on that, but I tend to think that there are animals in heaven for the following reasons.

1. Pets, for many people are very much loved, and are very loving in and of themselvs. God gave us these animals because He recognises the fact that we need to be loved by our fellow man as wella s by our pets.

2. The Bible does often speak about lions laying down with lambs, in a world of beautiful peace and Gods Love.

3. Many visionaries who have had visions of paradise have spoken of seeing creaturrs, but none have specificaly named cats, dogs, birds, etc, but there are creatures.

4. One of the promises that God makes to us when we get to His Kingdom is that we will be reunited with all of our loved ones. For many, their pets were as much part of the family and counted as loved ones as any human being.

So I just don't think it's too far fetched to think that we may meet up with all of our beloved pets in Heaven, but nobody has ever come back and told me one way or the other, and none of us will ever know for sure until we get there.

I personaly hope that there are cars, stereos and motorcycles up there, but again, I just don't know. I do know that in Heaven, I will be happy for all eternity, and nothing bad will ever happen for all eternity.

Those sounds like good reasons Pumpkin man. I could care less if there's a lot of technology in Heaven, I would rather have the ability to fly!
You're right though, the Bible DOES say we'd be reunited with ALL of our loved ones...that doesn't necessarily mean those loved ones have to be humans!

I agree. I know my loved ones included two Irish Setters, a Wrotweiler and a bunch of cats.

As for motorcycles in Heaven, again, I love riding them so much that I would hate to give it up, but I doubt that we will need our machines in Heaven as we will be given infinite abilities, infinite knowledge and understanding, and a glorified body.

We probably will be abot to fly, and even time travel.

I've wondered what Heaven will be like. My grandparents kind of think it'll be like, glorified bodies and everyone is just circled around God, the Trinity and worshiping him. For all eternity.
But I do hope it's more than just that.

My dad told me they build houses in Heaven.

I don't think Hell is fire and brimstone. Just eternal torment because of the horrible things you did in life. I bet just The Devils presence adds to the pain too.

No Offense RisingDeadMan, but I don't even like to think about hell. I never want so much as to glympse inside of hell.

I've heard that they do build buildings in Heaven, too. In fact, I heard that there are entire cities in Heaven. And yes, God is constantly worshipped, but you are in such a state of bliss, that becomes a true joy.

Sorry. I don't like to think about Hell either. But I just can't stop. It scares the living <deleted> outta me and I have been obsessed about it. I hate it!!! But I do like to make up a lot of stories and some of them involve Heaven and Hell. They are about good winning over evil. I want to write these ideas down someday. I hate those Jack Chick tracts that try to use threats of Hell to scare you into becoming a Christian. That I think is totally wrong. My Heaven/Hell stories are not meant to do that. They focus more on good over evil instead of Heaven and Hell.

Well many do try to scare people to convert to Christianity, but unfortunately hell is a real threat that can last for all eternity.

I try to concentrate on the positive aspect of God's Love rather then fear of satan and hell, however. Besides that, from what I've read from the Medjugorje apperitions of the Blessed Mother, one really must want to go to hell in order to go there.

My church believes Hell is only for really horrible people who go against Christ and commit really horrible sins. But knowing Hell is real still scares the <deleted> out of me.

Do we REALLY know it's real? Some people prefer to cease to exist when they die...and to be honest...ceasing to exist scares me way more than any eternal torment ever thought of scaring me. Not feeling, not knowing anything...at least in hell I'd still know I existed. Sure I'd be doomed for all eternity.
I don't know much about Catholic beliefs though. The scare tactics are another thing that bothers me about religion.

I am sick of people like Jack Chick who try to scare you into Christianity. That IS NOT I repeat IS NOT the Christian way!!! Christianity is based on love and peace. NOT fear of Hell. Thanks to those stupid Chick tracts I read online I can not stop thinking about Hell. Those stupid comics branded the fear of Hell into my brain. My church introduces people to their religion by talking about God and Heaven. People like Jack Chicken-Brain try to scare you into their religion with visions of Hell and eternal torment. They always say "Your going to Hell" all the time. Who gave you the right to judge my fate? I thought that was for Jesus to do!!!

Remember the classic Twilight Zone episode where the hillbilly and his hound dog pass on to the afterlife and they come up to a grand white gate looked after by a man in white who tells him that he could enter but his dog could not?

So the man says no thanks and they keep walking on and come across another good ol boy who lets them both in through his rustic gate.

Turns out Mr. white-suit was actually the 'other place'.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I remember a Twilight Zone episode where a criminal dies and ends up in a place where everything is perfect. He meets a guy in a white suit there who says he is in heaven. Everything goes the criminals way. But it soon gets boring because every game he plays he wins, everything gets boring etc. Pretty soon it gets so boring he tells the guy in the white suit he wants to go to the other place. Then the guy in the white suit says "This IS the other place!!
