Re: Haunted Houses
Thanks for posting the link, DeadMan. I'll post some pics of my house when I get a chance to shoot some on digital format.
I do a lot of motorcycle traveling, or at least I did before gas went up to 4 bucks a gallen. I would love to take a ride through Virginia and Vermont. In fact, I did drive through Virginia back in the Summer of 2000. It's really a beautiful place. Perhaps I can cruise around both states to look for some good haunts if I manage to scrape enough dough together for a road trip next Summer.

Re: Haunted Houses
Ok, about my old creepy house... My grandpa and I live here. He sleeps upstairs and I sleep on the first floor near the garage and it was pretty cool and dark down there. One night a ady wouldn't stop crying. My grandpa was getting upset, so I had to look around and check around the house - NOTHING! I was sitting up and eating chips and I saw that lady dressed in a white gown walk past the opening that leads to the kitchen. I thought it was my great grandmother, so I got up to go in the kitchen to say hi and no one was there.
I already told my grandpa about it, and he was laughing... He told me it could be his mother looking over this house.

Re: Haunted Houses
It could have been your great grandmother, Haunt Master. Or maybe it was Mary Worth.
At any rate, it must have creaped you out. I have never had an experience like that.

Re: Haunted Houses
Yup. And, another time, when my grandpa left for a vacation. Just me and my girlfriend moved to one of the bedrooms just away from the garage. It was late at night, my friend had to go home, so me and my girlfriend had to go to bed. I was almost asleep when I thought my friend was coming back to my house and entering my room. Maybe he tried to scare me and my girlfriend (Because that's the type of guy he is), so I lay down still and felt the wind air coming around our room. I believed it was him, so I turned really fast to scare him away... But NO ONE was there! Imagine that??? Yes, that was true I did lock the doors and windows... somehow the bathroom window was opened!
I managed to shut it and lock it!
I checked all around the house inside and outside to make sure that we didn't have any home invaders, you know?
But still no body around there! Whew!

Re: Haunted Houses
Wow! How did your gf react to that? The girl I dated back in "the day" was very skiddish about these sort of things. We went to Bachelors Grove one October evening, and she heard something rustling around in some bushes, got so scared she ran to the car. As it turns out it was a skunk, so I hi tailed it out of there too when I saw it.

Re: Haunted Houses
My gf thought it was HIM! And, she reacted that he better not enter without permission because it's considered "breaking and entering" our house! I told her to relax and let me look around... True... it was NOT him! Nobody around here... She thought it must be something strange!
I also told her about some ghosts, but she still doesn't believe in ghosts!

Some people are more "in tune" to the spirit world than others. I have absoultely no clairvoyance or spiritual vision at all. I've gone to lots of haunted places, too. I just never see anything out of the ordinary.
The closest I ever came to experiencing something of a supernatural nature was when I went to Medjugorje back in March of 85.

Re: Haunted Houses
And also, that happened in 1996 I think... when I felt something in the attic room with me, I felt cold all over and when I opened my eyes, a saw and a bunch of white specks above me. For some reason I started grabbing for them (and I don't know why). After that I fell back to sleep, but all night my gf heard some people talking in my room next to my bed.
I heard nothing, I saw nothing! That's strange!
That's why we moved to another room downstairs - I believe we've been in another room since 2003.
Nothing's bothering us again - but still some noisy things such as yell, talk, whisper, floor creaking and door creaking, etc.

It's funny you should mentionh earing sounds, Haunt Master. My younger sister and I slept in the same bed room when we were little kids, and she use to here some one (or some thing) say her name. "Jamee. Jamee. Jamee" She use to accuse me of doing it, b ut I didn't. This allways happened when it was lat at night and we were in bed.

That's funny about you and your sister!
Also, long time ago, when we were in bed at night... somebody knocked the door like 4 times, I think... My gf asked me to go check the front door there might be somebody outside. I looked at the clock and it was 3:31 am - I said, Damn! WTF??? When I opened the door, there was NOBODY!! I began to suspect walking to the backdoor, still no one there! So I went back to bed and told her there was nobody outside! She said, That's weird! I heard that door knocking several times about 10 minutes later, I yelled at someone out there - HEY! Who the f--- are you??? Still no one else out there!! I figured myself laughing... I said, It must be a ghost!

Re: Haunted Houses
I had a bit of an experience one time in my house. I have a door bell at both the front and back door of my house. One day, the back door bell kept ringing, and I figured it was a short in the button, so I bought a new one and installed. 3 Days later the same thing. The bell would ring, and I would go answer the door and nobody would be there. so I disconected it all together and decided to do without it. I capped the wires, and reinstalled the button so the hole would be covered up. The problem went away. One day, when I got home from work, (I allways enter my house through the back so I don't set off my motion detectors) I saw a bird, probably a black farling, pecking the button.
So much for ghosts at the door. If you think that was funny, there was also the time I had both doors opened to air out the house while I was house cleaning and a bat flew in.

Re: Haunted Houses
The bat flew into your house??
Same thing a dove flew into my garage, and it won't leave in about 2 hours.
And, I do have black bats here outside at night, during the daytime they sleep in the tallest trees. They all are blinded bats.

Re: Haunted Houses
This guy was a little "Brown Bat," and they, too are strictly Nocternal. I had just finished putting all my stereo and video equipment back to gether after washing all the walls and floor. When I watch tv, I shut off all the lights even when I'm just watching the local news, because it enhances the experience for me.
Anyway, I noticed something flying around, and I thought at first that it was a bird. I turned on the lights, and that's when I saw him. A little brown bad ganging upside down on my living room curtain. It took about hald an hour of chasing the little critter around the house with a bath towel before he finaly flew out the back door fo the hosue. There were a couple of times he flew right at me, and I would try to net him with the towel, miss, and he would try to hide in the bathroom. I would find him, and he would fly at me again. I would miss him again, and finaly he got his barings, and flew out the door.
After I got the doors closed, I had the biggest laughing spasm of my life. I told my brothers and sisters about via our family web site, and they all got a good laugh out of it, too.

Re: Haunted Houses
One night about 8 o' clock last August I was in the swimming pool, I laid back on the floater and looked up in the sky... I saw some black bats flying around in the air... I kept staring at them a little longer... I asked my grandpa about bats, he told me they're blinded bats and living up in the tallest trees. They love to eat incests and berries. Well, I didn't know much about bats. My grandpa told me there are vampire bats up there in Charlottesville somewhere in the caves of the mountains where my grandpa first visited there for a tour long time ago.
So far, since one week from now, I didn't see or hear any ghosts around my house. I guess they will be back anytime from now, who knows? We will see what happen next!

Re: Haunted Houses
We have a house we rent that has been the family since the late 1800's. Iit is very haunted.
I have had several interactions with spirits in that house( to many to mention now) and so has everyone else that has lived there.
I have sent T.A.P.S. several e-mails to visit us. So much that they prob. think I am a stalker or something. I do not know of any paranormal investigators in my area to call.
Only family has lived and died in the house. No bad things. I am still curious.
