Re: Werewolf: True or Myth?
Yup. I know what you meant by that old movies will make you feel like boring... Well, maybe you want to wait next year to see THE WOLFMAN remake which contains horror violence, gory, etc. I guess it would look much better than the old classic one!
So, anyways, I know witches have many names such as wiccans, warlocks, witchies, etc. I believe there are more names which I really can't remember...

Re: Werewolf: True or Myth?
Well there's pagan's too. I was actually into the witch craft thing once...but my knowledge of it is very limited. It's not hard to find stuff online though, including things like spells. But most of them are love spells which IMO are useless.
As for the weres, I believe in therians because they're people who claim to have some animal spirit residing in them, but I don't believe werewolves, were cats and others are real.
I wish they were though. XD; Especially the werecats...how come no one ever mentions werecats? They're much cooler than werewolves o.o

This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,

Re: Werewolf: True or Myth?
I have to to along with the "nay sayers" on this one. It's fun to read all these old legends about vampires and wearwolvs, but I have never seen anyone turn into a wearwolf, and I don't know anyone who ever saw it. I am aware that there is a psychological called lykenthropy, which is defined as the BELIEF that one is a wearwolf, but I just tend to be skeptical about their existance in real life. I also don't believe that anyone can rise from the dead, sprout fangs and turn into a bat either. It makes for great horror entertainment, but I would actualy have to see it happen before I would ever believe it.

Wow! I've not been around this thread for a pretty long time!!
So, have you seen movie called "Underworld" and "Underworld: Evoultion" these are all about werewolves vs. vampires? The lady is half human, half vampire. Her real name is Katie Beckindale?
I heard rumors about the third Underworld movie is coming next year... It's called "Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans". I would go see it!

I didn't particularly like "Underworld." I thought it was a bit hokey.

Really? You didn't like Underworld movies?
Well, ok which movie do you really like with werewolves in it? For me, I prefer "The Howling" the original classic!
"Silver Bullet" is pretty good movie and it was made by Stephen King. I think it was made in 1985.

Now just a rock picking minute here!! (Fred Flinstone / mid 60s) Those old classic monster movies are NOT boring. In fact, when I use to watch "Creature Features" on WGN way back in my childhood, I use to look forward to those old classics like "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man" and NOBODY bud NOBODY can do "Dracula" like Bela Lugosi IMNO.
That's not to say that a remake of "The Wofman" won't be good. But nobody does Wolf Man like Lon Chaney Jr.
Again this is IMHO.

Re: Werewolf: True or Myth?
I'll tell you one thing. Last night it was really stormy again. The ligtning and thunger were fearsome. One of my neighbors who has 3 dogs, left then out in the rain all night, and they howled like wearwolvs. I couldn't help feeling sorry for those animals, but it did make for one classicly spooky combination of lightning, thunder and dogs howling. Just like "Dark Shadows."

My mother has a dog "Siberian Husky" and she only barks once, then makes some howl noises. She looks pretty similar to Alaskan Malemute.

Re: Werewolf: True or Myth?
Those are beautiful dogs. But last night, it was really wierd. It was just like an episode of "Dark Shadows." The thunger and lightning was awesome, there had to be at least 3 dogs howling. The only thing missing were Victora Winters and Barnabass Collins. Actualy, I would love to have Vickie to snuggle up to, and Barnabass can fly around and put the "bite" on the neighbors who left those poor dogs out int he rain.
