Anyone heard about this? I just saw this on Fandango. I have no idea when it will be out but it sounds like this is going to be some kind of a sequel. Why and why? This makes me want to have projectile vomit :(

Thoughts anyone?

I hate remakes of older movies 99% of the time, and if they dont use Michael Keeton, this will be a total disaster.....I'm sure they want to make a more dark, less humerus prequel? Like how he died and how he ended up being a bio-exorcist

Really nothing can touch Tim Burton's atmosphere. They'll never get it right.
And I agree, Spooky. If they do it without Keaton, it will be worthless.

I am really just disgusted with all this remake <deleted>. Greedy <deleted> movie makers just want to make a buck. There's no originality or creativity in anything anymore. People just need to quit being sucked in or they're going to just keep doing it.

Couldn't agree more! :)

Talking about originality & creativity, I was reading an article today that said that there's creative scripts out there it's just that studio executives haven't got the balls to green light the projects, so they're just banking on money from remakes. :money: :money: :money:

Exactly. Oops sorry. Didn't know you couldn't swear on here. Hehe. They're either banking on re-makes, or banking on best selling novels for material.

Heh Heh! Such a potty mouth!

I remember my mum going on the same rant about all the movies we watched that were remakes of movies from the '40s and early '50s. At least in our time they were a bit more creative and just reused the story lines, now-a-days they don't have enough imagination to come up with new character names or movie titles. Watch 'Fright Night' (2011) to see what I'm talking about.

Oh, and by-the-by, it's a sequel, not a remake.

"Reports say the film will not be a remake but advance the storyline of the original movie."

"There is no word yet on whether Keaton will reprise the title role or if Winona Ryder will return as an adult Lydia."

Aww, I liked the new Fright Night! I didn't go in with high expectations or anything, but I thought it was fun. And Colin Ferrell was looking good. They obviously gave him a bath and groomed him
