The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2011)
This is a new sequel to original "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" 1974. I heard it is now in production. But there is no information available at www.imdb.com/title/tt1572315

I want to see it, too. Because I like to see the compare of this remake and the old original TCM. But, did you remember we have "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" back in 2003?

Me, personally liked the original 1974 TCM movie. So, did you watch part 2, 3 and 4?

Re: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2011)
The original is 2nd only to Halloween as my favorite horror movie. Although it seemed more campy than scary. (A lot of the uncle's insults to Leatherface and the hitch hiker have become catchphrases for me. I tend to call my cat my little coon sh*t, LOL) I thought the 2nd one was a little too long for me to keep interest and Dennis Hopper was kind of a loon in that movie. I do like Bill Mosely though. I liked Next Generation with the then unknown Matthew McCaughnehy (sp?) and Renee Zellweger.
The remake had a good plot to it. I wish they would've kept in the deleted scenes where the girl tells Kemper she's pregnant. The Beginning was WAY too gorey for me. Christ, leave something to the imagination!
Lets hope this one will do the original some justice. Im always leary of remakes and sequels.

So you liked TCM part 2, or not? I like it a lot! I really do care less about TCM 3 and 4!

I read on other forum about this movie, it is not actually remake as the original. It will be titled "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D", which will not release until October 5, 2012!

I also thought TCM The Beginning was too gory. I wasn't a fan of that one. The remake was ok. I thought the original was good, not my favoutie horror movie but I did like it.
Haven't ever seen TCM 2, 3 & 4.

The classic 1974 is good, but part 2 is okay. Part 3 and 4 are sucked!

I'll try & watch part 2 this year then. I do like Dennis Hopper (RIP). Think i'll give parts 3 & 4 a miss then.iHaunt wrote:Jack Skellington wrote:I also thought TCM The Beginning was too gory. Part 2 with Dennis Hopper in it is pretty good, but ok. It has too much blood and gory!

Part 2 was good because the hippy at the beginning got himself sawed in half in the face.
