A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)

Post by iHaunt » Mon Sep 28, 2009 2:45 pm

Robert Englund was not asked.

Probably I have with new one is....
Robert will always be Freddy.
It almost makes it like Freddy is innocent and is getting revenge that way.
I don't care for the more realistic look to his burns.
Well, Billy Bob Thornton was considered to play Freddy - but NOT!
Jackie Earle Haley is NOW playing as Freddy!

No matter if you hate the idea or love it, Platinum Dune's and New Line Cinema's remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street is going to be one of the highlights of the horror year. And it is much anticipation, and scrutiny, that today the trailer for the remake was finally unleashed.

The film is currently scheduled for release on April 30, 2010 and is directed by Samuel Bayer. The film was written by Wesley Strick, and Eric Heisserer.

heck i'm ready :) i'm so amped about this
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

According to everything I heard, it's supposed to be really good, but I heard the same thing about "Friday the 13th," which was just a remake and nothing more, and very disappointing in terms of what I, personaly, was expecting. I understand that the Freddy Krueger story is better developed. I am goig to hold off on judgement until after I see the movie, however.

Supposedly... what I heard this movie A Nightmare On Elm Street for theatrical release on April 2010 is going to be much better movie than Friday The 13th remake. Well, we have to wait and see what happens from there. ;)

I will see if I can find out this movie website, and I'll post it here later. 8)

I saw the trailer and it looked pretty good. It gives a hint that they show what happened to Freddy in the beginning, unlike the original where you had to wait for momma to fess up. I know that the original still scares the eff outta me, this one is going to have to be equally as scary or worse to get my approval.

This could be a prequel, perhaps?
