What's a good start?

I have never been able to watch horror films.
They...scare me. (But that's the point. Right?)

Anyways, I want to give horror movies a go but I don't want to put myself off them.
Any ideas guys?
Gore is a HUGE no-no for me, so more psychological things would be better.

I'm thinking about getting the Japanese version of The Ring. (Ringu.)
I've heard it's really good, but would this be too intense for a "newbie"?

Poltergeist is a good start.

I think my mom owns both of those. I'll give them a go.
:D

(Whe's a horror movie buff. Hence why I want to get used to these movies.)

Kyu, the original "The Haunting" is very scary, but without all the gore. I would highly reccomend it. The remake is good too, but for different reasons.

Then there's no point watching Horror movies.

What about Scream? It has a little gore but it is more psycological (and a little funny in some places) in the most part.
