To me, it looks like vampire/zombie mixed.

I hate all new horror movies......I saw the preview for this one, and it looked beyond disturbing...the preview made me jump out of my seat about 10 feet...no thanks....

I love anything prior to 1989...after that...forget it.

Short and sweet: Not a fan of "30 Days of Night" ... a 3 out of 10 for me. Bypassing spoilers, I'll just mention my gigantic peeve about vampire movies: If these creatures suffer so greatly because of the hunger for blood, they should try DRINKING more than they SPLATTER.

Overall, I enjoyed it! It was a fun movie. I liked the original idea, but I wish they would have given us more background on the vampires (I may have to read the graphic novel now). I like organization in a film and a well thought out plot more than blood and guts. There was some gore, but the mainly the vampires were just evil/wicked and that's what won me over in the end. It's probably one of the better vampire films that I've seen in awhile. I prefer evil, scary vamps to the more human-like, emotional vamps that we've seen since the Rice's Interview. I did not like the ending, however. I give it a 7 out of 10

Well, I've seen it in a couple of weeks ago. I would say it's sort of like a typical Zombie flick, but with Vampires instead.

If we didn't know they were supposed to be vampires, I'd say zombies from Resident Evil: Extinction, overall a decent action/horror type movie, but nothing too original.

I thought vampires attacking a community with 30 days of night to be original.
