Halloween 3-D in 2010

Post by iHaunt » Tue Sep 01, 2009 11:35 pm

Even though Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 finished its opening weekend at the number three (3) spot, it did pull in $17,405,000.

Due to the box office take over the weekend, Bob Weinstein announced that Michael Myers will return for another trip down the streets of Haddonfield in "Halloween 3-D".

The investment it takes to shoot movies in digital 3-D has proved particularly lucrative for horror films. For, "The Final Destination", this weekend's number one (1), movie, theaters with at least one 3-D screen earned 3.25 times as much as those that showed the movie in 2-D only, according to distributor Warner Bros. Back in January, the horror flick "My Bloody Valentine" earned 6.4 times as much from 3-D theaters as it did from 2-D on its opening weekend.

Weinstein said Rob Zombie, who directed "Halloween II" and 2007's reboot of the 31-year-old horror series, won't return for Halloween 3-D. He said the studio is in negotiations with a new director, whom he declined to name, who has experience in horror and has a "different take" on the franchise! 8)

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

"Final Destination" deserves to be number 1 IMHO. I really loved it. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The cinematography was excelent, and the sound track was awesome. It was also a great story, and there was plenty of Action.

Steve Miner directing Halloween 3D?

According to Bloody-Disgusting, a rumor has arised that Steve Miner (Friday the 13th Part 2 and 3) could be directing the upcoming 3D Halloween for 2010.

As there hasn't been an official confirmation and hardly any speak on the movie, this is only a rumor. Rumors are usually not true, but at least we can all hope Miner will be directing this one. At least we could have a chance of a great Halloween movie.

As I say again, this is a rumor! ;)

I wouldn't mind if Rob Zombie were to direct "Halloween 3D," but it's pretty much confirmed that he isn't. I only hope that they don't take the same hokey script for "Season of the Witch" and remake that. Out of all the original "Halloween" flicks, that was the worst one of them all. The story was too hokey for words, the cinematography was mediocre at best, and the soundtrak was down right painful to listen to. That comercial jingle you hear through out the entire movie:

Four more days to Halloween
Halloween Halloween
Four more days to Halloween
Silver Shamrock.

I wanted to hit somebody just because of that stupid jingle.

Ok, no worries.... Mike, I do like Halloween 3: Season of the Witch.... But I'd love to see what it looks like when it comes to the newest "Halloween 3D" with Michael Myers in it! Instead of seeing that crappy Halloween Mask Company that is selling some stupid masks! Silver Shamrock! Silver Shamrock!

Ohh, and also, I do like that actor named Tom Atkins in Halloween 3, saying "Turn it off!" several times when he was watching television!

I'm sorry, but "Season of the Witch" was a hokey disappointment. At least I didn't go to the theatre to see it. I saw it when it aired on the Sci Fi channel.

I was only 10 year old when I saw Halloween 3: Season of the Witch on HBO. I thought Michael Myers was in it, but he wasn't in the third film. Well, that's sad that he didn't play in Halloween 3 until the fourth film that he has been returned alive. :)

So I am getting started impatient to see Michael Myers in the new upcoming H 3-D. :D
