Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

Hi,
My fiance and I are going to be Sindel and Shao Kahn from Mortal Kombat (the most recent version). I'm sure we won't find theses costumes anywhere available for purchase, so can anybody give me some tips on how to make these costumes look as close to the pictures as possible? I've never before made my own Halloween costume.

for the guy's costume that's pretty easy to make. just look for a harder paper material but bendable to be used as the arm guard and shoulder pads. for the girl's costume, i dunno i guess you should consult a tailor for that and she has to find a really nice pair of thigh high boots.
