I saw this neat Jellyfish costume on Martha Stewart. It might be difficult to find all the parts for it (ie: the clear umbrella), but I'm sure if you start looking now you'll be able to make it work. She's also got some other unique costume ideas on her site. Hope this helps!

wear your shirt backwards, take a full head mask and cut out eyes and breathing holes in the BACK of the mask (you will need a mask with hair to help hide the holes).

Paint a bloody ring all the way around your waist and take thick black yarn to make stitch marks over the bloody waistline.

You are now an accident victim who was put back together wrong.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

LOL
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

OOOO I found a cool one!! I was in the worst/best costume topic and Halliance posted this:
At a Halloween party once, I saw somebody dressed as a bloody scuba diver. One arm was torn off with ligaments still showing, and the opposite leg had a shark currently munching up to the thigh. I think they bought a big stuffed shark, carefully cut it open, and stuck the leg through. This was after Open Water came out. Awesome!
That sound unique AND bloody!!
