TALL Costume

Okay. I'm about 5'9" and im trying to make a costume that will make me look about 7 or 8 feet tall. I'm thinking about building something on my shoulders to make me look taller and putting some kind of head or whatnot at the top. My problem is, i have no idea how to build this. Gimme some ideas.

welcome to the board.
the best way to do it is to have a false head and plaforms..experiment between the two and find a safe maximum you can both walk around in and support on your head. your view holes will be in the neck..build up the shoulders with padding for the illusion of extra height.

We have a headless costume that has a blow-up peice that sits on the shoulders and elevates the top of the shirt so that my husband is about 8 ft tall. Looks great with a skull or pumpkin carried under his arm. I've seen them in frightcatalog.com.
