And I have never planned a party before. So what should I do for the party?

I'd start by deciding exactly what you'd like to do at the party. Is it going to be themed? What's the theme? Are you going to have entertainment? What will the entertainment be?

From there, you work out the details like food, music, games, invitations, etc.

Well, I am 15 and it is for a family. Maybe a freind too. I just want it to be creepy. With scary scene setters and stuff like that for decorations. I will be playing Halloween music. I might have a horror movie to watch at the end. I will have a table with food and drinks. This might not happen but I will try.

I know this can be tough, but think of what would please your family and friends before yourself.

Like if there will be small children, have the decorations fun instead of gory, the movie as well.

Like they say "the mark of a true gentleman or lady is to make people as comfortable as possible at all times".

But if it's for a group of friends your age with similar tastes, go nuts.

There is going to be no little kids and the decorations are going to be mostly creepy. But if it is allowed we might watch this movie.

It is really gory.

That does it, I have to get that one and watch it.

You've shown the cover a couple of times and it looks really interesting.

I just wanted to let you know I changed my mind about the movie. If It is not rated R we will watch this movie. If it is rated R I will try and talk my parents into letting me show it for the party. If I cannot watch it I will have to pick something else.

It's 'R'.

If you want to spend that kind of energy honestly try for Shaun of the Dead...

It's funny so it would be a lot easier to 'sell' them on it.

I guess I will have to talk them into it. What should I say? "Please! Just once!" I will try that. Stuff like "I am 15 and can handle it! I rating should not take the fun out of Halloween! Just once!"

So what else should I do? I planned a movie, a table full of food, decorations, Halloween music and thats it. What else should I do for the party? I do not know for sure if it is ever going to happen but I will try and make it happen.

Dude, it may have an R rating but that was in the '80s, and I'd say it's pretty tame, even for YOUR sheltered existence. :P Shaun of the Dead would be a good choice, too.
So, are you gonna do this close to Halloween day itself? Maybe you could mix the party in with traditions like carving your jacks? Then you could have roasted pumpkin seeds. You could make everyone wear a mask or funny hat to get in the spirit...kinda like House of 1000 Corpses.....R. Or you could make masks together. Deviled eggs. There's always the memory game. You can adapt it to any theme - ya know, load up a tray with stuff, everyone has x minutes to look at it, then they write down as many as they can remember and the one with the most wins something really neato. I'd make your family go to a haunted house with you. Like a tame one. Wouldn't that be hilarious? Wish I could've done that to my family. If I had a proper backyard I'd probably have a fire for roasting marshmallows just to enjoy the cooler weather. You can use minipumpkins for place settings or serve food in real pumpkins. Everyone likes pumpkin muffins or pumpkin cupcakes or zucchini bread, too. Maybe I could look through my recipes later. There's some creepy stuff but I can't remember right now - it's 7am and I haven't slept since the day before...

I'm glad you are deciding to have a party :)))
i'm 14 and i start the party tradition since 5th grade and it's been growing ever since.

first the thing to do is get your budget, so you can get the price ranges for the food, decorations, games, movies, ect.

every year i only have 100 for decore but my parents pay for the food thankfully.

good classic decore, spider webs EVERYWHERE, and fake blood (but it does stain!)

the movie decisions i do approve :)

im and absolute zombie fan so u got me hooked on ur movie choice, though i havnt scene the first one, but i dont really aprove of house of 1000 corpses it has alot of nudity (in my opionion)

also you have to decide if your goin to have a theme or not, really in my past partis ive never had a complete theme to the, just scary stuff, gotta have my spiders and blood, costumes, and graveyards are a must for me :)

last year i made menus for my party and served the guest like a restraunt, the only down side to that was i took awhile before me and the other waitresses could eat

if you have anyyyyy questions at all just pm me >:)

Well, what exactly do you mean by nuts?
