Adam Sandler's Hubie Halloween

So Adam Sandler is filming a movie in Salem and Marblehead, MA this summer called Hubie Halloween. It's a Sandler movie so it's not going to be winning awards, but if you're on Instagram search #hubiehalloween and see the awesome decorations throughout town. If anything the movie should be visually appealing. A little Halloween in July.

Based on his latest efforts I'd say that the two are not mutually exclusive.

Not that I have anything against comedy or horror/comedy per se, but I would REALLY like to see a good 'old school' horror film come out of today's Hollywood. There's no shortage of haunted legends all over the country, any of which would make a great movie if written and produced properly.

It would be fun. It seems that Hollywood has forgotten how to produce a real 'honest to goodness' scary movie. It's either under lighted, low key audio and slow moving, or it's an unfunny farce. Dead remakes are also a dime a dozen now a days. There's a treasure trove of local ghost stories, abandoned places, urban legends, you name it. All they need is a good writer to put together a good story.
Go figure.
