We've got the Boo! Parade on the 24th. It's only been around for a couple years so I've never gone. The parade used to be a big thing in the early to mid 1900s but they quit doing it till a couple years ago. Hopefully it picks up steam and becomes a new tradition. I may throw on one of my costumes and jump in.

Went to our Boo! Parade today. Had a pretty good view. Everybody sat on one side of
the street so they didn't have the sun in their eyes. Plus it was very hot so everyone
was clumping together where there was shade. The carnival tonight was much cooler
and enjoyable. I wish they did the parade at night but it's cool they did it and carnival
this weekend so the kids got an extra chance to wear their costumes.

I did manage to get some pictures. Click on the thumbnails if you want to see the full
size. Or go to the album to see more.

The only thing around here is the one in San Francisco which can get out of hand really fast.

It is horrific for all the wrong reasons.

Anything going on in the Castro this year? Or is that all over?

despite what those in the seat of power choose to think there is always something going on during Halloween in the Castro.

Every now and then they make noise about shutting it down but never make a serious effort because in that city the 'love that dare not speak it's name' never shuts up.
