HALLOWEEN HOUSE TOUR - Sunday, Oct. 28, 2006 from 6 pm - 9 pm
Fun & spooky tour of some of Petaluma's most mysterious Victorian-era historic homes decorated for an old-fashioned Halloween. Costumed docents at each location will share the real (and Surreal) history and lore of the houses and their inhabitants. Light Halloween refreshments will be served at our Refreshment Stop during the tour. This is the perfect Halloween themed tour for families and history buffs as it combines old houses, haunted tales, old-timey Halloween decor, spooky candlelit rooms, squeaky floorboards, faint ghostly moans and groans, spooky music, docents dressed in Victorian era costumes and Petaluma's local history. A not-too-scary-haunted-tour for the whole family. Tickets are $15 for adults & teens, $5 per child (when accompanied by an adult). Tickets will go on sale beginning in late September at the following locations: Petaluma Museum, Tuscan Gardens, Petaluma Visitor's Bureau & the Apple Box Cafe. Tickets will also be available on the night of the tour at one of our tour homes...to be announced later on our website. All proceeds from this annual tour will benefit the newly established Heritage Homes of Petaluma "Revolving Preservation Fund" which will enable us to purchase at-risk historic buildings, stabilize them and then resell them to preservation minded individuals. For more information phone (707) 762-3456, email halloweenhousetour@widerview.com or visit our site http://www.heritagepetaluma.com/tours/b ... tours.html
*Be sure to dress warmly, wear soft-soled shoes and carry a flashlight. This is a self-drive tour. Your tour map will be on your Halloween House Tour ticket.
