DFW Friends of Halloween
Hello

Let me introduce myself and my group. My name is Eric and I started a new group in the DFW area "DFW Friends of Halloween" we are a free group for Halloween enthusiasts. To take a look at our group, here is the link to our page http://www.meetup.com/DFW-Friends-of-Halloween/about/

This is a group for people that enjoy Halloween.

Do you Love Halloween? Are you the kind of person that likes to go to Haunted Houses? Do you enjoy setting up Halloween props in your yard? Do you think about next Halloween starting November 1st? Then this is the group for you.

I have a number of events listed already and as September/October gets closer I will be posting more events, here is what I have at the moment http://www.meetup.com/DFW-Friends-of-Ha ... ndar/list/

As or Right now I have "Behind the Scene Tours" set up with"The Boneyard" "Thrillvania" and "Hangman's". I am working on tours of "Reindeer Manor", "Terrorplex" and Moxley Manor" that I should be posting soon.

When it gets closer to Halloween we will be setting up Meetups to attend the Haunted Houses in the DFW area as they start to open.

We will also create Meetups to allow the discussion of ideas

Possible Topics/Activities for Meetups include:

* Visiting Haunted House attractions
* Halloween Swap Meet
* Horror Movies
* Make-up
* Sound effects
* Props
* Scare techniques
* Haunting on a budget
* Costume parties
* Designing around a theme
* Lighting effects
* Garage haunts
* Horror movies as inspiration

Please keep in mind that the majority of the events are setup for families but not all events such as the Haunted Houses are appropriate for younger children, keep in mind you are the parent, please use appropriate judgment at some of the events.

The majority of the events will be setup to be all inclusive (children welcome) with a few get togethers setup for adults such as Happy Hour get togethers and will be listed as such.

What this group is NOT
This group is not for are people wanting to discuss the Occult or the Satanic. People that think they are Vampires, Werewolves or the Un-Dead. We are not Paranormal investigators chasing ghosts. Not trying to knock anyones beliefs just trying to explain what this Meetup group is about.

What this group IS
We are just normal people that enjoy the childlike magic of Halloween and want to share that with others.

What about people who actually are werewolves, but also enjoy the childlike magic of Halloween? Are they allowed to join? How about the almost dead, like Andy, or the braindead, like Spooky? Can they join??

I'm an emotional vampire; I suck the joy and happiness out of every group of people I interact with. But I'm also childlike, and I love Halloween. Can I join??
