Re: Catching up

HA! He does look like one of the kids on the school bus.

I think that anyone dressed as Frank The Rabbit would definitely scare the kids away.

Re: Catching up

Believe me, as the parents of 2 young kids, we watch them like a hawk, and we are always looking out for the other kids around us as well. We also try to make sure that most of the teachers they have are female, though in the world today, even they can be as sick as the males, so one of the things w...

Re: Catching up

My kids saw him but they had no interest in going over there to meet him, I guess it's because they already know the Easter Bunny is going to be at the egg hunt when we go to church service on Easter weekend. He was sitting right in front of Walmart so it is a high traffic area, and it was a weekend...

Re: Catching up

We were at the mall this weekend and the Easter Bunny was there ... but it doesn't look like anyone noticed. I was walking around for almost 30 mins waiting on my family, and there wasn't anybody that stopped by to visit him, not even any kids. He just sat there looking bored so I shot some pictures...

Re: Catching up

Murf - You mention finding comfort in the timing of your own parents' passing before Easter, and that speaks to the profound way in which hope can intertwine with grief. It’s a reminder that even in our sorrow, there can be moments of solace and reflection, especially during meaningful times like th...

Re: Catching up

Don't get me wrong, while I'm upset about it, I can also appreciate the humor in it, and if it happened in a movie it would definitely be funny. I guess we worry that she won't make it to the big day because we have seen other people like Betty White and Bob Barker that both passed at 99 and they we...

Re: Catching up

:| So, this morning at 8am I got a text from my uncle saying that my grandaunt had passed in the night. I was already up so I called them immediately, and as soon as he answered the phone he yells out ... APRIL FOOLS! I started swearing at him for it and he told me to calm down because it was my gra...

Re: Catching up

I'm glad to hear that you and your family are safe Murf.

We were watching the news and saw the destruction that hit some areas, hopefully the people can recover from it.

On a lighter note, happy St. Patrick's Day to anybody celebrating tomorrow.

Re: Catching up

It looks like I was writing my post while you posted that story so I just saw it.

You certainly were brave to sit there and do your homework with the threat of a tornado hitting your home. Was there actually school the next day?

Re: Catching up

I hope that you and your family remain safe this weekend Murf. I'm thankful that I live in a geologically stable geographic region and so far we haven't ever experienced anything worse than hail and massive snowfall. My mother told me that when she was growing up in California she experienced a few ...

Re: Catching up

How many tornadoes have you experienced in your life Murf? I've always wondered how anybody lives in a natural disaster zone knowing that they are always at risk from volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, earthquakes, or any other natural disasters. I get it that there are various reasons why some people c...

Re: Catching up

HA! Vance has no chance. You might as well start calling him "No chance Vance". Hey, the opposition can use that slogan for their campaign buttons, along with "JD Vance wets his pants". Also, as soon as the kids want to start working they will have a spot waiting for them.....

Re: Catching up

Man, I apologize for how long this post got. I suggest that you just skip this. He said it's because nobody wants us to fail. If we fail, the whole world fails. So everybody keeps propping each other up. It's all a house of cards. Well, your husband is right about that. By the way, who knew Limbaugh...
