Re: Costumes that don't freeze you to death?
When I go to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in Manhiem PA (not that far from Hershey) I wear a cloak. The faire runs from August up till the end of October so later in the season it can get cold. The cloak works really well, you can wrap it around yourself if you get cold and if its hot out you...

Re: Halloween Cults
DemonSlayer, Halloween has nothing to do with cults, or the sacrofice of animals. Besides that, the most dangerous cults are unfortunately based in Chrsitianity, and have an all out ban on the celebration of Halloween. I'm not going to name any in particular because I don't want to offend anyone, a...

Re: Does anyone else share these Halloween memories????
Aww, my elementary school used to have a Halloween parade every year. Everyone would dress up and walk through the hallways and outside, and the parents could come and watch. Most of the teachers would just throw on a Halloween shirt, but my favorite music teacher of all time always dressed up as th...

Re: Kids Are Back To School! Woo Hoo!!!
Everyone I know is starting classes on August 31st, except for one of the colleges a couple of my friends go to. They started classes today I guess. I move into college on Thursday morning, and then I have four days of freshman orientation. Classes start on the 31st, and I'm super excited!

Re: Health and Personal Issues (Call on your friends)
Deadbride, you're so lucky to be able to get out of that situation and I applaud your bravery. You have to do what's best for you and your children. I too was in an abusive relationship (Mentally, nothing physical. It was bound to happen eventually though.) and I know how hard it is to leave somethi...

Re: Costumes that don't freeze you to death?
I've allways had just the oposite roblem. When I use to dress up, despite the evening chill, I was allways hot and stuffy inside my costumes. Go figure. Mike That mostly just happens to me if I wear a mask, but sometimes it will be super hot during the day but freezing that night. Where do you live?

Re: If we (Halloween.com) could create our OWN perfect town...
The movie "Sleepy Hollow" kind of makes me think of a perfect Halloween town. Horse-drawn carriages, the forest, the dark atmosphere. I'd rather have a lot of pretty autumn leaves rather than dead trees though, but maybe just have a little bit of a spooky forest.
