Re: Whatcha eatin' right now?
Well, just got done eating a fast El Monterrey Chicken, Rice and Bean burrito, with sour cream, salsa and pepper jack cheese. GF's at work, and I gotta run and do errands before I hit the gym tonight. Like they say, NEVER shop on an empty stomach.lol

Re: How to attract more Trick or Treaters?
Well, that's really ambitious! I just try to set up at least two weeks ahead of time and run the lights each night. As people pass by in the weeks leading up to Halloween, they catalog your house as one they will want to visit. Well, if you're looking for the exposure and want to get the most out o...

Re: Classic Creepy Board Games
Always loved Revenge of Dracula and Escape from Frankenstein. We used to combine them into one board. Drac first, and he'd follow the winner through the Frankie board with Frankenstein.

Easy way? Set up a little earlier than normal, take pictures, and send them into your local news paper. Tell them that if they like your set up, and feel it's worthy, you'd like a featured piece run.

Let me say, skip the Tim Hortons PSL. Terrible. No pumpkin flavor at all. Just a TON of what I can only say is cloves or AllSpice.

Re: Meringue
Yup. Cold metal helps to set the meringue. Also, watch how much sugar your put in it. The more you add, the harder it gets. If you want softer meringue, beat until the the peaks slightly curl. If you want firmer meringue, beat until the peaks stay straight, and don't curl over. Lastly, no breaks. An...

I did a Batman costume one year and embedded my phone into the gauntlet, and had the headpiece on under the cowl.

Re: Store Going Out of Business
Doesn't sound like the economy. Sounds as if it just fell out of favor with customers who could shop elsewhere, and cheaper. That's cool of Oriental Trading to take on some of their more popular items.
As always, it's sad to see this stuff happen, but it's inevitable.

Re: Telco Halloween figures, who collects them?
We had Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankie, and Wolfman. Weird thing was, apparently when we caught the 90's versions, they were exclusively sold at Walmart. However, my city only had K-Mart, and we found our 4 there. $19.99 Each. VIVIDLY remember that day. We don't have them anymore, as when my...

Great little treat I've started making lately is deep fried home made Oreos, with orange food coloring in the the frying batter. When they're done I take black and brown cake decorating frosting and paint on the lines on the pumpkin in brown, and the face on in black with a special paint brush (Only...
