Re: Gardening
That particular neighborhood is in a wetland, sea level area that has a network of drainage ditches similar to the Los Angeles river, that wildlife use as their own freeway coming down from the mountains and going all the way to the San Francisco Bay and back. You rarely see them because they're out...

Re: Gardening
Skunks are also a huge problem. Luckily I was born with almost no ability to discern aromas. I worked near a landfill and in the springtime the roads were a veritable landmine of unfortunate skunk carcasses. My coworkers couldn't believe my lucky anomaly. The bay area infringes on the natural habita...

There is a show on the tastemade channel called Struggle Meals. Each episode features a segment where the chef makes a dish based on a viewer request. On a halloween themed episode he made a casserole completely out of leftover candy and sweets. It failed. https://youtu.be/yROnQiAyLmE?feature=shared...

Re: Gardening
I heard about that on the news and it sounds awful.
Where I used to live in california there is a springtime migration of tarantulas from one side of Mount Hamiltons main road to the other side, and if you had to use that road for work it was unspeakably disgusting.
